2 Nigerians, 3 others held with cocaine, MDMA in Golconda
Hyderabad: Five persons including two Nigerians were caught by TG Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) cops on Friday in Golconda. Police seized 20 grams of cocaine, 45 grams of MDMA and 20 grams of ecstasy from the accused.
The two Nigerians – Okoro Cosmos Ramsey and Chimezie Boniface Adikea – and other three, Veerapalli Lakshmipathi, Romi Bharat Kalyani and Abdul Jafar Khan, were arrested during simultaneous searches at two different houses. All the five knew each other as they were lodged in the same barracks during their earlier prison stint in Chanchalguda jail.
"After coming out of jail, Ramsey shifted to Vinayak Nagar, Golconda, and later Adikea joined him. They were procuring cocaine and MDMA from one James, a Mumbai resident, and selling it to Lakshmipathi and other peddlers," a TGANB official said
Officials said Lakshmipathi was in Bangalore when he received a call from Cosmos that he had 20 grams of cocaine and 30 grams of MDMA. Lakshmipathi informed the other two in Hyderabad to buy the drugs for him by the time he returned to the city, the official said.
Cops said they nabbed the men after coming to know of their presence in Golconda.
