1 2 Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh registered massive progress in the first year of the TDP-led NDA govt by attracting investments to the tune of Rs 9.4 lakh crore, said industries minister TG Bharath. Addressing party workers at the TDP's annual conclave Mahanadu in Kadapa, TG Bharath recalled that Andhra Pradesh was blacklisted by investors during the YSRCP regime due to the fear psychosis created by the then govt in their five-year rule. "Chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, HRD & IT minister and the council of ministers took great pain in restoring confidence among the investors in the last 12 months. It wasn't easy at all. But with a visionary leader like Naidu in power, investors gradually grew in confidence and the state was back onto the path of rapid progress", the minister added. TG Bharat also recalled about how the YSRCP govt trimmed down the state's economic development board from 60 members during the TDP regime between 2014-2019 to just 10 between 2019-2024. "Today after the TDP came back to power, about 50 experts were appointed to the economic development board to showcase the state as a paradise for investments once again. Even as we speak now, a specialised team is in the middle of their your to Japan to attract investments and adopt best practices," he added. With our focus back on 'speed of doing business', the AP govt assigns an executive to handhold investors proposing to invest in projects worth Rs 1,000 crore or more in the state. "The state govt has expedited the process of establishing MSME parks across the 175 assembly constituencies in the state. While 11 MSME parks have already been launched, foundation stone has been laid for 39 more MSME parks in the state. This govt will also fulfill its promise of creating 20 lakh jobs by the end of its five-year rule," the minister underlined.
