Inside Focalistic's surprise black-tie 29th birthday soirée
Leisure By KGOMOTSO MOGANEDI AND THABO TSHABALALA - 31 May 2025 In a star-studded affair in Midrand on Thursday, a black-tie surprise birthday soirée was held to celebrate musician Focalistic's 29th birthday. Colleagues, family and friends gathered to honour the artist affectionately known as ' president ya straat '. Upon his arrival at what he thought was a different engagement, Focalistic was greeted by a room filled with cheers and applause. Friends and team members planned the secret celebration meticulously, ensuring the star was unaware of what awaited him. Crowning Greatness: Highlights from the 2025 Metro FM Music Awards
The Metro FM Music Awards (MMA) 2025 lit up Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga under the theme "Crowing Greatness" on Saturday with a stylish celebration of South Africa's top music stars. Siyabonga Ngwekazi and Luthando Shosha brought energy as hosts of the show. The 2025 MMAs honoured music stars, with Woodblock DJs taking Song of the Year for their hit song Skuta Baba, Bassie's Kwelanga winning big in three categories, namely Best Music Video, Best Amapiano Song and Best Collaboration, and Limpopo's Makhadzi took home the top title of Artist of the Year.
