Undercover investigation leads to arrests
Mar. 3—Three Odessans were arrested Saturday following an undercover investigation.
According to an Odessa Police Department report, officers received information Adrian Gonzalez was selling products containing THC through Instagram and made arrangements to buy some THC-based vape pens from him.
An officer made arrangements to meet Gonzalez at a convenience store on West 42nd Street and watched a Chevrolet Traverse arrive and depart a couple of times before going to a nearby fast food store, the report stated.
When the Chevy left the fast food store, the driver failed to come to a complete stop and the officers pulled it over, the report stated.
Inside, officers found three individuals and five vape pens each containing two grams of THC.
Adrian Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez and Oscar Baeza were arrested on suspicion of manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony.
Adrian Gonzalez, who had been held on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold, was released to a federal agency Monday.
Daniel Gonzalez and Baeza are being held in the Ector County jail on $50,000 surety bonds.
