Monforts Powers 80% of MSP Denim at Kingpins 2025

At the Kingpins Amsterdam 2025 exhibition (April 16–17), Monforts technologies stood out as a dominant force in sustainable denim. Eight out of ten denim fabrics featured in the event's Most Sustainable Product (MSP) showcase were produced by mills using Monforts machinery. These include renowned names such as Arvind (India), Soorty and Naveena (Pakistan), Isko and Orta (Turkey), Saitex (Vietnam), Diamond Corduroy (Pakistan), and Textil Santanderina (Spain). Monforts' finishing and dyeing systems—including MONTEX stenters, MONFORTEX shrinking ranges, ECO LINE, and THERMEX dyeing ranges—are increasingly preferred for their resource-efficient performance and ability to support sustainable denim production. With over 900 THERMEX units operational globally, Monforts is the backbone of advanced denim manufacturing. In a collaborative student project titled 'Stretch Yourself', seven Monforts-powered mills provided innovative stretch fabrics to fashion students at Amsterdam's Jean School. The result was a boundary-pushing exhibition in partnership with The Lycra Company, showcasing denim's future potential. Meanwhile, cellulosic fibres like Lenzing's Tencel™ and Ecovero™ are gaining traction in denim for their soft texture and eco-credentials. Lenzing's Application Innovation Collection 25—developed with partners including Advance Denim, Naveena, Soorty, TCE Jeans, and US Denim Mills—underscores this trend. Monforts also highlighted its ECO LINE and ThermoStretch innovations, offering gentler processing of delicate fibres. The double rubber configuration for bi-elastic denim and EcoApplicator units minimize chemical usage while ensuring high-quality finishes. One key dyeing breakthrough is Econtrol® and Econtrol® TC-A, a patented one-step process for cellulosic and blended fabrics. It ensures quick and consistent results with low environmental impact—further affirming Monforts' role in driving sustainability in denim. Hans Wroblowski, Monforts Head of Denim, emphasized ongoing collaboration with mill partners to refine in-house processes and achieve new levels of ecological efficiency. The result? Innovative denim styles showcased at every major Kingpins edition.
