How did Dalton Knecht do in NBA Rising Stars challenge at All-Star weekend on Friday?
While Bronny James turned down an invitation to participate in the Rising Stars game at NBA All-Star weekend, the Los Angeles Lakers did have Dalton Knecht take part in the challenge on Friday.
He played for the team coached by former Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Chris Mullin, and Knecht would show off his own marksmanship from 3-point range during Friday's competition.
In the first game, in which his team played against a squad coached by Mullin's former teammate Tim Hardaway, Knecht scored seven points and went 3-of-5 from the field. One of his baskets came from beyond the arc, and another one came on a thunderous dunk. He also contributed four rebounds and four assists to help his team win and advance to the final round.

In the final round, it faced off against a group of G League standouts. In that contest, he missed his first three shots in the final game, but he scored a driving layup in transition and then hit a 3-pointer to bring his team to within three points of the target score. Afterward, he knocked the ball away from Bryce McGowens on defense, which led to a fast break that ended with a trey from Keyonte George to end the game.
