TOCA Social to open third UK venue at Westfield London on 1 July

Interactive football and dining destination TOCA Social is to launch its third UK venue at Westfield London in Shepherds Bush on 1 July. The competitive socialising brand will occupy 30,000 sq ft of the former Debenhams department store space, hosting 24 game boxes and with a 1,000 standing capacity. TOCA Social White City will also offer virtual reality experience, Sandbox VR including the Squid Game Virtuals game created in collaboration with Netflix. TOCA Social opened its first site at The O2 in London in 2021 followed by the Bullring in Birmingham last year. Alex Harman, President of TOCA Social, said: 'There is a clear and accelerating trend of people wanting more experiential entertainment, particularly around the nation's favourite sport, football. TOCA Social White City will be our third UK venue and largest yet, although we feel we are still scratching the surface of demand for TOCA Social. 'We are delighted to be partnering with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield on this project and excited to be opening our doors in time for the Women's Euros in July." Andy Scanlon, co-founder and CEO of Sandbox VR UK & Ireland, said: 'We are excited to bring the future of entertainment with our groundbreaking virtual reality experiences to TOCA Social's biggest venue yet, Westfield White City. This is the start of an exciting collaboration and we look forward to immersing guests in a whole new world of interactive entertainment like never before.' Jacinta Rowsell, head of customer & retail operations, Northern Europe of Westfield's owner Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, said: 'The arrival of TOCA Social at Westfield London represents the future of destination-led retail – where world-class entertainment, dining, and technology come together under one roof. This partnership cements Westfield London as the capital's ultimate playground for the next generation of social experience.'

Lioness Leah Williamson creates her own ice cream ahead of Women's Euros

Leah Williamson has created a limited-edition ice cream sundae, The Captain's Choice, to celebrate the UEFA Women's EURO 2025, which kicks off on 2 July in Switzerland England Lioness and Arsenal player, Leah Williamson, has whipped up her own ice cream sundae in time for the UEFA Women's EURO 2025, which kicks off on 2 July in Switzerland. England's first match is scheduled for Saturday, 5 July, against France. Williamson is optimistic that Arsenal's Champions League match against Barcelona in Lisbon will kickstart a victorious summer, with England aiming to retain their Euro champions title. Just in time for the tournament, Williamson has created a new limited-edition ice cream sundae, fittingly named The Captain's Choice. The 27 year old revealed that the decadent dessert was inspired by her favourite chocolate goodies and crafted for all fans to enjoy. ‌ ‌ The sweet treat will be served at TOCA Social, an interactive football venue, where supporters can enjoy the treat during their visit. This summer, TOCA Social will broadcast every England game of the Women's Euro across all its venues, ensuring fans won't miss any of the action. The Captain's Choice boasts a scrumptious mix of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, laced with raspberry coulis and rich chocolate sauce. It's garnished with Cadbury Buttons and Flake, all presented in a traditional sundae glass, topped with a lavish swirl of whipped cream. But it's not just the tastiness of the dessert that buyers can relish - they can also feel good knowing they're backing a good cause. Absolutely Business reported that £1 from every purchase will be donated to the women's football community, We Are Laces. Leah, a stakeholder in TOCA Social, has been at the forefront of several projects boosting female involvement and nurturing the women's game's development. She reflected on her impact saying: "I am delighted with the progress TOCA has made in encouraging female participation since its launch, and I'm incredibly proud to continue being part of a company that genuinely values the growth of the game." Moreover, she expressed her hopes for the upcoming season: "I hope that those who come down and visit during the summer can purchase and donate to such a great cause whilst of course enjoying the sundae as much as I do." TOCA Social's entertainment spaces are found at The O2 in London and within Birmingham's Bullring, with anticipation building for their newest and grandest venue set to open this summer at Westfield in White City. For ice cream enthusiasts, The Captain's Choice Ice Cream Sundae will be up for grabs from May 8 until August 31 at every TOCA Social location throughout England.

Leah Williamson wants Arsenal to re-establish themselves at top of women's game

Arsenal have traditionally been one of the strongest clubs, but they have recently been caught up and overtaken by other sides following the rapid development of the women's game, especially on the domestic front. 🇵🇹🔒 For the first time in a #UWCLfinal, Arsenal will play Barcelona 🤝#UWCL — UEFA Women's Champions League (@UWCL) April 27, 2025 But Williamson says her side should be dominating the final against defending champions Barca. 'It's about going somewhere that we've never been before. It's new territory in an Arsenal shirt for everybody in the team,' the England international told the PA news agency. 'So I think we'd be super proud of continuing the legacy in that Arsenal has always been up there in women's football. 'It's not enough for us just to be up there any more, we obviously want to win. We've always been up there and we've always been consistent in that. 'Speaking in the whole journey of women's football, people always have had to chase Arsenal, and then it gets to a point where people catch up and they're investing. Leah Williamson has created a 'Captain's Choice' ice cream sundae at TOCA Social (TOCA SOCIAL handout/PA) 'And then it's about how do you match that and move with the times, as well as being proud of what we were before? 'So I think Arsenal, as a name and as a club, they deserve to be dominating in any competition that they play in, but that obviously hasn't been the case in recent years.' Williamson is hoping success in Portugal is the start of a glorious summer where she will lead England, aiming to defend their crown, into Euro 2025. The 27-year-old says Sarina Wiegman's current crop of Lionesses are heading into the unknown. 'It's a new England, it's a new task,' the defender added. 'It's the unknown again, which is very exciting, but I think we best believe everybody will be fired up and ready for the summer when it comes around. 'I don't think we are favourites. I think there's lots of different teams that could win it and have the potential of winning it.' Williamson already knows just what winning the Euros can do for the women's game in this country but she is determined to continue helping grow the sport off the pitch. Having already initiated campaigns to drive female involvement at immersive football venue TOCA Social, where she is a stakeholder, Williamson has now launched a limited edition ice cream sundae, with £1 of every sale going to charity We Are Laces, a women's football community. Williamson is leading England into the Women's Euros this summer, hoping to defend their 2022 title (Danny Lawson/PA) Williamson said of her position as a role model: 'I'll always be authentic to myself. I think that I'd be doing a disservice to all the people who came before me if I didn't take on that role. 'We always talk about the inclusivity of the game and I want to promote it from within. I want it to be as inclusive as possible, and We Are Laces are very good at that. 'There are a lot of women who are interested in trying to grow the game, and not everybody is a participant in terms of playing in the team. 'So TOCA Social is a great opportunity for them to express their interest in women's football in this sort of social capacity.' :: Leah Williamson's Captain's Choice ice cream sundae is available at all TOCA Social venues from May 8 and will be included in the Women's Euros screening packages.
