Donald Trump says US court ruling on tariffs was wrong, political; hopes Supreme Court reverses ‘horrible' decision
US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the US Court of International Trade's order to block import tariffs was "so wrong" and "so political." In a long post on TRUTH social media, Trump said, "Hopefully, the Supreme Court will reverse this horrible, Country threatening decision, QUICKLY and DECISIVELY." The US President's statement came as a federal appeals court temporarily reinstated the most sweeping of Trump's tariffs on Thursday. The fresh ruling by the appeals court's came a day after a US trade court ruled that Trump had exceeded his authority in imposing the duties and ordered an immediate block on them. The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington said it was pausing the lower court's ruling to consider the government's appeal, and ordered the plaintiffs in the cases to respond by June 5 and the administration by June 9. Reacting to this, Trump said in the social media post, 'The US Court of International Trade incredibly ruled against the United States of America on desperately needed Tariffs but, fortunately, the full 11 Judge Panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit Court has just stayed the order by the Manhattan-based Court of International Trade.' Trump slammed the judges who had blocked the tariffs in the first place saying, "Where do these initial three Judges come from? How is it possible for them to have potentially done such damage to the United States of America? Is it purely a hatred of 'TRUMP?' What other reason could it be?" "I am so disappointed in The Federalist Society because of the bad advice they gave me on numerous Judicial Nominations. This is something that cannot be forgotten! With all of that being said, I am very proud of many of our picks, but very disappointed in others. They always must do what's right for the Country!," Trump said. He said, 'The horrific decision stated that I would have to get the approval of Congress for these Tariffs. In other words, hundreds of politicians would sit around DC for weeks, and even months, trying to come to a conclusion as to what to charge other Countries that are treating us unfairly. If allowed to stand, this would completely destroy Presidential Power — The Presidency would never be the same! This decision is being hailed all over the World by every Country, other than the United States of America.' Trump contended that "radical Left Judges, together with some very bad people, are destroying America." "Under this decision, Trillions of Dollars would be lost by our Country, money that will, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. It would be the harshest financial ruling ever leveled on us as a Sovereign Nation. The President of the United States must be allowed to protect America against those that, are doing it Economic and Financial harm. Thank you for your attention to this matter!," Trump said. Hailing his decision on global tariffs, Trump said, "...it is only because of my successful use of Tariffs that many Trillions of Dollars have already begun pouring into the USA from other countries, money that, without these Tariffs, we would not be able to get." "It is the difference between having a rich, prosperous, and successful United States of America, and quite the opposite," he said.

Putin ‘has gone absolutely CRAZY': Trump weighs sanctions, warns of Russia's downfall if...
US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin "has gone absolutely CRAZY!" as the latter launched massive airstrikes and 'biggest ever' drone attacks in Ukraine amid the ongoing war. Trump posted on Truth social media, "I've always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!" The US President said missiles and drones are being shot into cities in Ukraine, "for no reason whatsoever." "He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I'm not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being shot into Cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever," Trump added. Trump has expressed admiration for Putin in the past, but has in recent weeks shown growing frustration with Moscow's position in truce negotiations with Kyiv, which are deadlocked. Trump suggested that capturing all of Ukraine would lead to the "downfall of Russia". "I've always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that's proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!," Trump said. He said like Russia, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky "is doing his country no favors." "Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does. Everything out of his mouth causes problems, I don't like it, and it better stop," Trump said. Donald Trump said he was 'absolutely' considering new sanctions against Russia. His statement came after Russia launched a second night of deadly missile and drone strikes across much of Ukraine. When asked if he is considering imposing more sanctions on Russia, Trump told reporters in New Jersey on Sunday before boarding Air Force One, "Absolutely". 'He's killing a lot of people. I don't know what's wrong with him. What the hell happened to him, right? 'He's killing a lot of people. I am not happy about that," Trump said, as per a video shared by RT news. "I've known him a long time, always gotten along with him, but he's sending rockets into cities and killing people, and I don't like it at all," Trump was quoted by AFP as saying. Trump said in a post on TRUTH the Russia-Ukraine war should never have started if he were the president that time. "This is a war that would never have started if I were President. This is Zelenskyy's, Putin's, and Biden's War, not 'Trump's,' I am only helping to put out the big and ugly fires, that have been started through Gross Incompetence and Hatred," Trump said. As many as 13 people were killed as Russia launched a record number of drones against Ukraine overnight to Sunday, officials said. According to AFP, Ukraine's emergency services described an atmosphere of "terror" amid a second straight night of massive Russian air strikes, including on the capital Kyiv. Russia's latest attacks on Ukraine came as the two countries completed their biggest prisoner swap since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022, with 1,000 captured soldiers and civilian prisoners sent back by each side. Trump and Putin held a two-hour phone call on Monday after which the US leader said Moscow and Kyiv would "immediately start negotiations towards a ceasefire." Putin has made no commitment to pause his three-year invasion of Ukraine, announcing only a vague proposal to work on a "memorandum" outlining Moscow's demands for peace.

‘Harvard has $52,000,000, use it': Donald Trump defends block on foreign students at university
US President Donald Trump took to the social media platform TRUTH on Sunday to defend his administration's move to block the prestigious university from enrolling international students. Trump asked, "Why isn't Harvard saying that almost 31% of their students are from FOREIGN LANDS, and yet those countries, some not at all friendly to the United States, pay NOTHING toward their student's education, nor do they ever intend to. Nobody told us that!" Trump said his administration's request to demand specific details about 'violent activities by non-immigrant students' from Harvard is "reasonable". He said, "We want to know who those foreign students are, a reasonable request since we give Harvard BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, but Harvard isn't exactly forthcoming." "We want those names and countries. Harvard has $52,000,000, use it, and stop asking for the Federal Government to continue GRANTING money to you!," Trump said. US' Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem had on Thursday revoked Harvard's ability to enroll foreign nationals, throwing the future of thousands of students and the lucrative income stream they provide into doubt. A federal judge has placed a temporary hold on the Harvard ban. Earlier, Noem had demanded Harvard submit records of any violent or illegal activity by foreign students by April 30 or immediately lose [the Student and Exchange Visitor Program] certification under the federal government's student visa program. "Harvard had plenty of opportunity to do the right thing. It refused. They have lost their Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification as a result of their failure to adhere to the law," Noem added. The White House is cracking down on US universities on several fronts, justified as a reaction to what the administration says is uncontrolled anti-Semitism and a need to reverse diversity programs aimed at addressing historical oppression of minorities. It has also moved to revoke visas and deport foreign students involved in protests against the war in Gaza, accusing them of supporting Palestinian militant group Hamas, news agency AFP reported. At Harvard, the government has threatened to put $9 billion of funding under review, then went on to freeze a first tranche of $2.2 billion of grants and $60 million of official contracts. It has also targeted a Harvard Medical School researcher for deportation. The loss of foreign nationals — more than a quarter of its student body — could prove costly to Harvard, which charges tens of thousands of dollars a year in tuition. Harvard is the wealthiest US university with an endowment valued at $53.2 billion in 2024.
