Mark Ruffalo's Task, From Mare of Easttown EP, to Premiere on HBO in September — Watch First Trailer John Oliver Urges ABC to Keep Doctor Odyssey, Mocks 'Premise-Defying' Season 8 Renewal for The Rookie Based on Stephen King's IT novel, first published in 1986, Welcome to Derry 'expands the vision' established by director Andy Muschietti in the films IT and IT Chapter Two, which respectively released in 2017 and 2019. Not much else is known about the project's plot, but Bill Skarsgård is confirmed to reprise his role of Pennywise the Dancing Clown, who he played in both of Muschietti's movies. Muschietti is also among the series' writers and executive producers, and he directed four of the upcoming episodes. Other IT: Welcome to Derry cast members include Taylour Paige (Hit the Floor), Jovan Adepo (3 Body Problem), Chris Chalk (Gotham), James Remar (Dexter), Stephen Rider (Marvel's Daredevil), Madeleine Stowe (Revenge) and Rudy Mancuso (Amigos). 'As teenagers, we took turns reading chapters of Stephen King's IT until the thick paperback fell to pieces,' Muschietti and his sister, Barbara (also an executive producer), said when Welcome to Derry was first ordered in February 2023. 'IT is an epic story that contains multitudes, far beyond what we could explore in our IT movies. We can't wait to share the depths of Steve's novel, in all its heart, humor, humanity and horror.' Bridgerton Earns Early Renewal for Seasons 5 and 6 — Plus, Watch a Season 4 Sneak Peek
Lady Whistledown is delivering a piece of good news: Netflix has renewed Bridgerton for Seasons 5 and 6 ahead of Season 4's debut. The streamer announced the super-sized renewal during Wednesday's Upfront presentation, where Netflix also released a sneak peek for the forthcoming fourth season, which will premiere in 2026. Ironheart Trailer: Riri Williams Aims to Do 'Iconic' Things Following Her 'Internship Abroad' in Wakanda Glen Powell's Football Comedy Chad Powers Scores Hulu Premiere Date The eight-episode Season 4 centers on Benedict (played by Luke Thompson), the bohemian second son in the Bridgerton family, and a mysterious Lady in Silver (Halo's Yerin Ha). 'Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating woman at his mother's masquerade ball,' per the official logline. Though her identity is not at first known to Benedict, the woman turns out to be Sophie Baek, a secretive maid with big dreams. The Julia Quinn adaptation first hinted at Sophie's arrival in the Season 3 finale, when Eloise mentioned her mother Violet's forthcoming masquerade ball. Benedict noted his RSVP for the event, telling his sister, 'I will be there, hiding out behind a mask, avoiding eligible ladies like the plague.' (As if!) Bridgerton Season 4: Everything We Know View List As previously reported, the fourth season has cast Katie Leung (the Harry Potter franchise, The Peripheral) as Lady Araminta Gun, a widower with two girls making their debuts; Michelle Mao (Goosebumps) as Rosamund Li, Araminta's eldest daughter and most prized possession; and Isabella Wei (The Crow) as Posy Li, Rosamund's chatty younger sister. Meanwhile, Emma Naomi, who plays Alice Mondrich, and Hugh Sachs, who plays Brimsley, have been upgraded to series regulars. Although Benedict and Sophie's romance occurs in the third installment of Quinn's wildly popular book series, Season 3 skipped that romance to focus on Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan). The latter's friends-to-lovers arc, which wrapped during Part 2 in June 2024, resulted in a marriage and a male heir.
