UNESCO: "Study in Iraq" initiative a step to support education and cultural openness

UNESCO commended the launch of the "Study in Iraq" platform on Wednesday, stressing that it is a step in support of education and cultural openness.
UNESCO Director-General and Head of the Education Portfolio, Tab Raj, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "I am honored to stand before you today in my capacity as Director-General of UNESCO in Iraq and Head of the Education Portfolio, to witness together the successful launch of this academic platform, the "Study in Iraq", which represents an important step in supporting education and cultural openness."
He added, "I would like to congratulate the Minister and the Ministry's staff on this achievement, and we look forward to this program being as successful as its predecessors, as Iraq once again demonstrates its global standing in thought and civilization. It is a great country whose name has long been associated with the cradle of civilizations, where the first letters were created and the first features of writing, legislation, and architectural cities appeared."
