Meals on Wheels seeking volunteers
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – An organization that fights food insecurity for local seniors is seeking new volunteers.
Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers to deliver meals Monday through Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Routes are available in Binghamton, Chenango Bridge, Kirkwood, Conklin, Whitney Point, Windsor, and Harpursville.
Both drivers and visitors are needed to make deliveries. Volunteers must 18 or older.
Those interested in volunteering are invited to attend an open house from May 12 to May 16 between 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. During the open house, those in attendance will be able to see the process in action and learn more about the experience.
Meals on Wheels operates out of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church at 83 Main Street inBinghamton. Visitors can enter through the parking lot on Arthur Street.
