Kota Kinabalu: Tabs Bandaraya Safa will be represented by their best teams in this year's Borneo Cup football tournament scheduled to be held here in September. 'It is important to remember that this tournament also involves many good teams from abroad. Therefore, we need to be represented by our very best players,' he said after a meeting with his committee to discuss on their preparation recently. Also present were his deputy Lokman Sunggim, vice chairman S.A Ramlye, secretary Amsir Abdullah, committee members Amirhad Yunus and Nurhafiza Badar. According to Sulaiman, they have decided to take part part in seven categories in the annual tournament including the newly introduced Under-18 together with the Under-11, Under-12, Under-13, Under-14, Under-15 and Under-16. The coaches appointed are Rosly Jamal (Under-18), Hasan Madisah/Rosly (Under-16), Malim Surat (Under-15), Ismail Tudiki (Under-14), Ahmad Ibrahim (Under-13), Sahrizal Wahimin (Under-12) and Hamizam Ismail/Rayzonaz Malim (Under-11). He also hopes the teams this year will build on the encouraging outing last year where they earned a runners-up spot in the Under-15 category and third place in the Under-16. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
