Jagan flays CM for stopping MDUs
Tadepalli: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy lambasted the coalition government for its anti-people policies and stalling the rice door delivery system which was like a boon to the poor and providing employment to weaker sections. Taking to social media posts on X, he said Chandrababu Naidu has been showing vindictive attitude towards the operators of Mobile Dispensing Units (MDUs) who were delivering the ration at the doorstep of the poor. He said, the operators numbering over 20,000 belong to BC, SC, ST and minorities and winding up the door delivery system affects them and their families badly. He asked if it was fair to do away with this system - harming the operators on one hand and making uncharitable remarks by describing them as 'smugglers and mafia' on the other? They were serving people even during the times of calamities and floods. He recalled that before YSRCP has come to power, people have faced numerous difficulties in procuring ration and other government welfare schemes He said daily wage earners bore the brunt as they did not know when the ration would be given and how much and they had to forego their work to get ration from the shops. He said they faced discrimination and insults in the process as the measure and quality were inferior and some of them were forced to give up taking ration even. He recalled that YSRCP government has introduced the door delivery of quality rice through vehicles in a transparent manner and checked malpractices. Now stopping the door delivery system, which was acclaimed nationwide, is nothing but opening the doors for irregularities and cheating the poor.

Jagan dubs Mahanadu a drama
Tadepalli: Describing the Mahanadu as a major drama, former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the TDP should announce as to how many of the 143 promises it had given has been fulfilled. He affirmed that the one year term of the coalition is littered with atrocities, foisting false cases against political opponents and misuse of police with rampant corruption and neglect of all sections of people. Addressing local body representatives at the party headquarters here on Wednesday, he said, Chandrababu has been rigging the people's verdict, beginning from Kuppam itself, by luring MPTCs, ZPTCs and councillors to usurp civic bodies though he lacks numbers and has brought in a blot to the political system and those who stood with the Party despite the pressure are commendable. 'Jagan 2.0 will be different and will remember all the sacrifices and also those, who troubled the cadre and all the erring people will be brought to book,' Jagan said, adding that the ongoing Mahanadu is being used for photo ops as they have nothing to boast off or tell people about how many poll promises they have fulfilled. 'During our term, despite Covid and depleted revenues we had not stopped any of the welfare schemes and have implemented over 99 percent of our poll promises. The contrast is very much in the open for all to see', the former CM pointed out. He alleged that even small schemes like free bus for women could not be implemented by Chandrababu Naidu and could not keep the promise on free LPG cylinder while Amma Vodi was done away with and all the reforms we have brought in the education sector were stalled. On the medical front as well, the coalition is a total failure and it could not give MSP to farmers to any corp. Employees are badly hit as they feel cheated. Not a single job was given by the coalition in the first year while we had given over 3 lakh jobs, he said. Jagan said that law and order has been going from bad to worse and the Red Book Constitution is being implemented with false cases, creating fake witnesses and Palnadu though it was a TDP affair, our party in-charge was illegally booked. He criticised that former Minister Kakani Goverdhan Reddy was arrested despite officials giving a report that there was no illegal mining and now they have filed a case against RK (Alla Rama Krishna Reddy) and there have been many instances of lawlessness. 'Corruption has been rampant in sand, capital construction works, liquor and quartz while we have transferred Rs 2.73 lakh crore under DBT. When we could do so, why is the coalition unable to extend the welfare schemes?' he questioned. The former CM said that the State revenue has drastically fallen and the growth rate has slackened, and Jagan 2.0 would be different and will give prominence to development and welfare along with the cadre, he said adding that those who have troubled us will be brought to book. Local body representatives from Mandapeta, Gollaprolu, Penugonda and Madanapalli attended the meeting.

Jagan flays Naidu for misusing power
Tadepalli: Reiterating that Chandrababu Naidu has rolled in his vicious plan of usurping civic bodies where TDP has no numbers, former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that rampant corruption, nepotism and atrocities have become order of the day in the State. Addressing local body and party representatives from Kakinada, Chittoor, Prakasam and Satya Sai districts here on Thursday, he said Chandrababu has shown the template of usurping power even without having the required numbers from his own Kuppam constituency by coercion, inducement and threats. 'But days will change and in Jagan 2.0 things would be different and I salute all those who stood by value-based politics and did not yield to the enticements of TDP,' he said. Going by the Kuppam example, YSRCP won 16 of the 25 seats in the municipality, leaving just 6 to TDP. Chandrababu began his foul play from here, taking away our candidates using all sorts of threats and enticements besides misusing police force, giving wrong signals to other local bodies to follow suit as to how the chairperson post can be usurped, he said. He added that TDP tried the same template for Gandlapenta MPP though YSRCP won six out of seven MPTC posts but when we stood strong they finally declared themselves winners. 'In Markapuram we swept all 15 seats and did not yield to their pressure and Kakinada as well we won 26 of the 30 and they failed to cut the ice. During the eleven months of governance, education sector has been neglected and badly diluted. During our term, students were swarming government schools and now the trend is reversed', he said. Aarogyasri arrears have mounted to Rs 3,500 crore and farmers are in distress. Land, liquor and sand scams are in full flow. Such atrocious governance will not stay long and the coming days will be ours which will take care of all the cadre, he said.
