Inmate sought after St. James Parish work walk-off
ST. JAMES PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A work-release inmate from another parish is being sought after he reportedly walked off of a job site in St. James Parish.
According to the St. James Parish Sheriff's Office, 22-year-old Taegan Howarth left the jobsite after being terminated, and was last seen on the levee near Highway 44 and Zennoh Grain in Convent, between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, March 7.
Howarth was reportedly wearing a yellow vest and white hard hat at the time. He was serving as an inmate due to a conviction on drug violations.
