After a long time, fans finally got to see BTS' V and Jungkook together during their military service. The two idols recently hit the same gym, showing off their buffed-up physiques ahead of their June comeback. While updates on the two have been rare since they enlisted, this recent sighting was nothing short of a treat for Taekookers. On May 3, a gym trainer, as stunned as ARMYs shared the update on his social media alongside a few pictures from their workout session. To everyone's surprise, the BTS members were joined by another familiar face, Nevertheless fame Song Kang. This comes after V recently shared a glimpse of his workout routine on Instagram.
BTS V and Jungkook spotted hitting gym together
Gym trainer and bodybuilder Choi Hanjin took to his Instagram to post a few photos, writing alongside, 'Can't believe the two young men my wife watches every day in videos are now standing in front of me.' He praised their dedication and expressed how impressed he was with their 'calm yet intense energy' and 'sincere focus in every aspect of their workout.' n one photo, TaeKook were seen twinning in black while posing with their muscled arms, and in another, Taehyung and Choi Hanjin posed alongside Song Kang. For the unversed, both V and Jungkook are enlisted in separate military units. While Jungkook and Jimin enlisted together under the 'Companion Soldiers' system, which allows close friends, relatives, or family members to serve together in the same unit, Taehyung took a different route. He enlisted in the Special Duty Team (SDT) of the Army Capital Defence Command, where he is currently serving in the anti-terrorism unit. The remaining members of BTS are set to be discharged in June.
BTS comeback and world tour speculation
Before enlistment, every member of BTS—including Jin, Jimin, V, RM, J-Hope, Suga, and Jungkook—kicked off their solo careers to keep the content rolling without the group having to take a long hiatus amid their 18 months of duty. In June 2025, the group will finally reunite as OT7. While the agency has confirmed the comeback, they're taking baby steps for now to not rush anything. Earlier, HYBE's CEO Lee Jae Sang, in a press statement, said, 'BTS members are scheduled to complete their military service by the end of the first half of this year, and they will need time to prepare and work on their comeback activities afterwards. But the artists themselves also need time for careful consideration and preparation.' According to him, since BTS is not just another K-pop group and 'they've already risen to the level of a global top artist, we are continuously discussing their vision and future plans. It is important to carefully determine and align the direction moving forward.'
Meanwhile, J-Hope, who recently returned after serving in the military and has since kicked off his solo world concert, spoke to Apple Music's Zane Lowe in a recent interview where he discussed his life post-military, shared his album inspiration, and when asked about a BTS reunion, he grinned at the idea and teased that it's happening sooner than expected. 'I think that over time, we each refined our unique identities as each of us works on their own music, comes out with their solo projects, and does their own thing,' he said, adding that they will meet soon and plan things quickly.
