Thanks for stopping by: College football recruiting sends coaches across Cincinnati
A college football national championship game featuring two teams littered with local products marked the end of the season and a full shift into recruiting.
In recent days, college recruiters and coaches have made stops throughout Greater Cincinnati to visit students and even extend scholarship offers.
Since mid-January, the Hamilton Big Blue have had a string of visitors, including Boston College, Cincinnati, Miami, Ohio, North Carolina State, Purdue, Pitt, Iowa and Iowa State.
Recruiters included 2008 Hamilton graduate Tyler Walker who just joined the staff at Temple and former La Salle standout Jeremy Larkin who is the running backs coach at UMass.

Taft head coach Tyler Williams posted a number of college programs coming through the school, including former University of Cincinnati and current University of Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell stopping in to see Badger commit Drayden Pavey. Coaches from James Madison and Texas A&M also recently visited Taft according to Williams.

Unsurprisingly, Moeller is a hot target for coaching visits. Standout junior tight end Cooper McCutchan was the target of many visits and offers, posting of conversations with representatives from Virginia, Washington and Duke among others.

Moeller quarterback Matt Ponatoski also had an influx of football offers, including from Texas A&M. Ponatoski previously visited Texas A&M on a baseball visit and was later offered by football offensive coordinator Collin Klein. The junior is a top target by various football and baseball programs across the country.

Junior tight end Landen Miree has been a popular visit from college coaches in recent weeks. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Miree caught 56 passes in 13 games in 2024 for 714 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Miree has recently home and school visits from representatives from Washington, SMU, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Auburn and more.

After making the jump from a 1-9 season in 2023 to an 8-4 year with a playoff win last season, colleges have been making trip to Liberty Township and the Thunderhawks.
Since Jan. 27, Lakota East football has shared that representatives from Missouri, Ohio State, UCLA, James Madison, Temple, Pitt, Michigan State, Western Michigan and Gardner Webb have visited.

Badin had recent visits from mostly local programs looking for Rams that went 9-3 last season and won the Greater Catholic League Coed title for the seventh-straight season.
Badin shared visits from Cincinnati and Miami on Jan. 16, stops by Ohio and UMass a week later and James Madison on Jan. 29.

Junior Jordan Vann, a three-star recruit on Rivals, recently shared some visits from Toledo coaches on Jan. 28 and from Michigan State the following day. Vann had recently made trips to the schools as well as Purdue.

The 10-win Winton Woods Warriors shared recent visits by UCLA and Army.

Oak Hills head coach Justin Roden has posted that Army, Butler, Toledo, Gardner Webb, Penn and Jeremy Larkin from UMass had been in to recruit some Highlanders.
