Parineeta Borthakur celebrates Assamese culture at Rabha Diwas Event along with former Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal
Actress
Parineeta Borthakur
, widely known for her television role as Aarati Vikram Singh Rathore in Durga – Atoot Prem Kahani, recently had a heartfelt meeting with former Assam Chief Minister
Sarbananda Sonowal
during the Rabha Diwas celebration held in Mumbai.
Speaking about the event, Parineeta shared, 'It was truly wonderful meeting Honorable Sarbananda Sonowal! As he was in Mumbai and it was Rabha Diwas, he wanted to connect with all Assamese people living here. He organized this special event to commemorate the death anniversary of the legendary Bisnu Prasad Rabha on June 20th.'
Although she was initially invited to sing, Parineeta had to skip the performance due to a recent bout of viral fever.
'Instead, I had the pleasure of enjoying soulful performances by singers like Shashwati Phukan, Dikshu Sharma, Sharmistha Chakraborty, Anindita Pal, Nahid Afrin, and many others,' she added.
Parineeta praised the former CM for fostering a sense of unity among the Assamese diaspora. 'Kudos to Sarba da for initiating this gathering. What made the evening even more special was the dinner he hosted for the artists. The chef, who had worked at Taj Vivanta Guwahati, prepared authentic Assamese delicacies like Masor Tenga Jol and Til Diya Chicken.
