KUALA LUMPUR: A video showing a heated altercation between a foreign couple and an elderly Malaysian man at a convenience store has gone viral on social media.
The 1-minute-22-second clip, shared on Reddit's r/Malaysia, captures the couple arguing with the elderly man at the cashier counter before the confrontation spills outside the store.
The situation escalates when the foreign man is seen pushing the elderly man out of the store, followed by a continued verbal exchange.
In another video, a security guard appears on the scene but fails to break up the brawl.
The altercation intensifies, with both parties seen throwing punches and eventually falling to the ground.
The incident has ignited fierce criticism online, with many calling out the security guard's inaction and questioning the couple's aggressive behaviour.
Reddit user DryImprovement3942 said: "I'm speechless. They must be out of their minds ganging up and fighting an old man.
"Security (guard) is just watching and barely did anything to de-escalate the situation."
GGgarena said: "Send them to detention, charge a high non-refundable fee for bail, including a fine and jail time. Thank me later."
