Kinetic Credit Union Golden Apple Award Winner: Talaya Williams
This week's Kinetic Credit Union Golden Apple Award winner is Talaya Williams, a 12th grade teacher at Opelika High School. Principal Kelli Fischer proudly presented her with the award.
An Alabama State University graduate, she has been teaching for 27 years. Williams was nominated by a student who describes her as an admirable teacher who looks after you when you need it or not.
The idea of knowing she might hopefully make an impact on at least one student's life is what keeps her coming to work everyday. If she's able to do that, then her job is done.
