Bride's friends surprise her with recorded good luck messages from all her former flames - and the prank is branded 'funniest hen do idea ever'
A bride-to-be was left shocked after her friends surprised her with a video showing a series of good luck messages from her exes at her hen do. Emma, from Manchester, helped set up the joke for bride Talia that had guests in tears of laughter. Talia saw the humour in the cheeky prank, which was pre-approved by the groom, saying it was the 'funniest and worst thing that ever happened' to her. Emma shared the moment Talia was surprised by the messages in a TikTok which was widely shared. While some thought the joke was hilarious and others called Talia a 'good sport', many were not impressed, claiming it was in 'poor taste'. In the clip, Talia was sitting at a table surrounded by family and friends at her hen's night when something started playing on a TV screen out of shot. The bride's expression quickly turned from joyful to confusion to sheer shock as she realised what was going on. In the lead-up to the celebration, her bridesmaids had contacted a handful of her former flames and asked them to record messages of well wishes. Talia reacted with shock, laughter and embarrassment with each familiar face that popped up on the screen while the guests watched on in hysterics. 'Not her mum yelling, 'She doesn't even know who it is'. I'M CRYING - hands down the funniest idea for a hen do!!!!' Emma captioned the priceless clip which racked up more than 5million views. Many applauded the prank and praised the bride for having a good sense of humour. 'Now THIS is prime comedy,' one viewer said. 'This is the absolute most hilarious thing I've ever seen and I LOVE all of your senses of humour for this!!!!' another agreed. 'This is genuinely iconic!! You girls have just unlocked a new trend,' a third laughed. 'So not everyone is traumatised so much by their exes that this would legit ruin the day?' someone joked. However, Emma and Talia had to defend themselves in the comments as the joke sent some panicked girlfriends and boyfriends into a spin saying they would be 'fuming' if the prank had been pulled on their partners. @itsemmachloee not her mum yelling 'she doesn't even know who it is' IM CRYING🤣🤣 hands down the funniest idea for a hen do!!!! #hendo #henparty #henpartyideas #funny #girlythings #fyp ♬ Assumptions (slowed down version) - Sam Gellaitry 'The last thing I need on my wedding day is reminders of my mistakes in the past,' one person wrote. 'Poor bloke, can only imagine how I'd feel if my wife of 23 years did this, not nice at all,' a second complained. 'It's banter, calm down,' Emma replied. 'I wonder how she'd feel if she found out her future husband's exes had sent their messages??' another said but Emma hit back: 'She'd find it funny just like her fiance found this funny'. Someone added: 'I couldn't think of anything worse on my wedding day!' It comes after a US-based bride and groom has sparked a heated debate online after a wedding guest shared a photo showing a controversial sign from their wedding. The 'Pay to Play' poster revealed that guests had to fork out as much as $100 (£75) to hear a single song on the dance floor after the ceremony. The image, posted on Reddit, showed a framed sign at the wedding reception offering a playlist of classic crowd-pleasers – with a twist. Guests weren't just encouraged to request their favourite dance floor hits but were told they'd need to pay for the privilege. And the prices weren't a small change either. 'In lieu of the dollar dance,' the sign read, 'Pay to play one of the following songs that you'd like to hear.' Songs on the lower end of the price list – a still-hefty $25 (£18) – included classic singalong anthems such as Don't Stop Me Now by Queen, Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond and Don't Stop Believin' by Journey. But the pricing ramped up quickly, with some tunes fetching a staggering $100 (£75) fee. These included The Wobble by V.I.C., labelled as 'Austin's least favourite', and The Cha Cha Slide, described as the 'couple's least favourite'. Cotton Eye Joe, a perennial polariser at weddings, was listed as 'Shelby's least favourite'. The viral club hit Get Low by Lil Jon also made the $100 (£75) list, with a cheeky note revealing it was the 'most requested on RSVPs.' In the mid-tier $50 (£37) bracket were nostalgic bangers including I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston, Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks, Unskinny Bop by Poison and Cherry Pie by Warrant. 'If you purchase one or more of these songs, the bride and groom must dance,' the sign continued. 'Proceeds will go towards the couple's Honeymoon Fund!' Presumably, the newlyweds were hoping to maintain control over the wedding atmosphere while also making a playful statement about their musical tastes. But not everyone online was amused. 'Usually, I'm pretty in the camp of ''let the couple do what they want, it's their day,'' one Reddit user commented. 'But this seems like such an over-the-top and overt money grab. Like if your guests wanted to give you money, they probably would've already done so in their gift and given you the amount they're comfortable with?' A second was particularly riled by the couple's decision to charge for the most popular request, writing: 'That one feels icky. 'Like they wanted to know what their guests wanted to hear most just so they could charge them.' Another unimpressed commenter added: 'Certainly, I wouldn't pay money to listen to any song at a wedding, let alone $100 to hear the Cha Cha Slide.' But while some considered the stunt to be tacky, others praised the couple for their cheeky humour. 'I love it and would 100 per cent participate by paying to hear one of the songs,' one wrote. Another defended the move, writing: 'This is definitely a list of 'songs we don't want, but if you have to have it, pay us to tolerate it.' Good way to shut up the drunk uncles.' A different Reddit user even called the idea 'tastefully done', saying: 'I would crack up if I saw this at a wedding.'

Air crew makes exciting 'once-in-a-lifetime' discovery in Aussie outback
An Australian pilot and tour guide has captured what she describes as a "once-in-a-lifetime" natural event — watching the headwaters of Cooper Creek slowly snake through the Strzelecki Desert on their way to Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre, transforming one of the driest corners of the continent into a temporary oasis. "It's just such a rare sight, only the people who book these air tours can see it. It's an extremely remote area of extremely dry conditions," Talia, an outback pilot who operates air tours from Birdsville in Queensland, said. "They call it a 'dry flood' because there's been no local rainfall in that area at all... so to see this lifeblood of water descending, trickling through the desert and knowing what it's going to leave behind — the greenery along the floodplain — it's just a once-in-a-lifetime, spectacular opportunity. "You feel very privileged to see the rare sight that it is." The footage, taken from 1,000 feet above, shows the creeping edge of water making its slow, deliberate way through country that hasn't seen a flow like this in more than a decade. "The Cooper Creek has been able to enter Lake Eyre [before], but that doesn't happen very often at all," she said. "This is the most significant time, certainly in the last 15 years." Located in South Australia's arid heart, Lake Eyre is the lowest natural point on the Australian continent. Most of the time, it's a white salt flat. But when enough water reaches it, fed by distant rivers like Cooper Creek, the Diamantina, and Georgina, the basin transforms into Australia's largest lake, drawing birds, wildlife and awe-struck visitors. "The lake will be close to 100 per cent [surface] coverage, which we've not seen since probably 2010–11," Talia, from Birdsville Aviation, said. "But this year, it's set to be even deeper than it was then. So it's super exciting." The water currently making its way through Cooper Creek originated hundreds of kilometres away in Queensland towns such as Winton, Longreach, and even Mount Isa. "So all the water has come from the northeastern reaches of the catchment area... It's fanned in this big arc through the whole top of all those catchments," she explained. "The Lake Eyre Basin catchment area — it takes up one sixth of Australia — it's massive. It's 1.1 million square kilometres." Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre is filling for just the fourth time in the past 160 years. This year's flood is the result of a record-breaking convergence of rainfall across all three of the Lake Eyre Basin's major catchments — something not seen since 2010–11, and possibly longer. "All three of them have been concurrently in a record-breaking flood," she said. "The Cooper Creek has broken records at Durham Downs Station. In 1974, the flood record was 4.4 metres high, and this year it was 4.75 metres. So that is a significant rise on record," Talia said. Flying from Birdsville to Innamincka and across the floodplain, following the water's path, felt like an act of discovery, she said. "Even with modern technology and satellite imagery, you can't get a clear enough picture... so you feel like you're almost pioneering, tracing the length of the river to find that water," she said. Rush to see rare Aussie phenomenon sparks warning Phenomenon not seen in 50 years set to create 'inland sea' Tourists face ban at iconic attraction over 'sacred' nature For ecologists and landowners alike, the significance of this event cannot be overstated. "For station owners… they really rely on fresh inflows through the Channel Country," she said. "Cattle stations only really survive in these areas when there are these occasional floods. For the people situated on the banks of these floodplains, it just means they can sustain their livelihood." "And for ecologists, it's also extremely important," she added. "Birdlife comes out and are able to rebuild their populations again… which they don't do in drought years. So it's really important for the whole ecosystem." Talia said the conditions have never been better for visitors. "We're all open and showing lots of tourists through," she said. "The roads are in incredible condition… and it's the best year for coming out and visiting these areas. It looks just spectacular." Reflecting on the moment she flew above, Talia said it was the inaccessibility of the landscape that struck her most. "You know that creek bed hasn't seen water for 15 years — how incredible to see it trickling through." Glam Talia, who earns a living through being an influencer, has now appeared to brush off the recent drama between her ex Aaron and his threats to fellow reality star Pete Wicks after The Sun told how Pete had exchanged a slew of flirty messages with the star. Rather than responding to the drama, Talia opted to strip down to three different bikinis as she struck a variety of playful poses whilst showing off her super slender body. She looked white hot as she opted for a skimpy white two-piece in one of the clips. The bikini allowed Talia to put on a VERY busty display as she asked her followers for their help in choosing which bikini she should opt for. Talia also turned up the heat in a daring one-piece with various cut-outs to show off her trim figure. Her third swimwear option was a patterned bikini which allowed her to showcase her long legs as she added a pair of boots to give more height to her frame. The mum-of-four found herself making headlines over the weekend when her ex Aaron become embroiled in a feud over her. Pete was threatened by a furious Aaron who accused him of sending flirty texts to his ex-girlfriend. He had warned the Towie favourite to stay away from Talia and said he would 'take your f***ing head off'. Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmer's son Oatley rushed into hospital amid health battle as mum Talia reveals heartache Hardman Aaron, 37, believed Pete was hitting on his former girlfriend Talia, with whom he has three children. He was so incensed, he raged: 'Let's pray we don't come face to face cos I'll take your f***ing head clean off.' The messages, which Aaron put online for several hours before removing, included him telling Pete: 'So messaging my baby mom is clever. 'Giving it big man ting to mother of my kids trying to get a ride.' Aaron and Talia, 33, got together in 2017 and split in 2022 but remain close.
