West Lothian village pub closes suddenly as bosses issue 'deeply sad' statement

A West Lothian pub and restaurant has closed unexpectedly, with a message issued to customers on social media. The Tally Ho, in Winchburgh, has ceased trading immediately after the owner issued a short statement on Facebook on Friday, April 4. The team said they are "deeply saddened" to see the doors close. The closure came as a shock to customers with 97 sad reactions to the post. It comes just months after the manager said families are being put off due to a rise in violent altercations. She said events planned for 2025 were scrapped to avoid another violent situation, which was set to be reviewed later this year. However, on Friday she posted: "We regret to inform you that we are closing the doors effective immediately at the Tally Ho. we want to thank everyone for the support and loyalty over the last few years and we are deeply sadden to see the doors close. "Thank you. Team@Tally." The Tally Ho reopened in 2019 after a £400,000 renovation. It is known for events including a Halloween extravaganza and an annual 'Star in the Park' event.
