Dita Von Teese, fetish model, throwback Hollywood pin-up and 'Queen of Burlesque', looks as though she has stepped out of a scene with Clark Gable, yet her old-school glamour is wasted on this crowd.
As her heels click on the wooden floor of the Scottish-themed steakhouse, not a single patron looks up from their pub grub. Perhaps I should not be surprised — despite her international renown, Von Teese is more of a niche icon than a household name. Or maybe she is just not as recognisable when not frolicking inside a giant cocktail glass at a Las Vegas burlesque club.
