London travel news LIVE: Liverpool Street trains disrupted after 'person hit by train'
Trains travelling to and from London Liverpool Street this morning face delays due to an emergency incident on the tracks. According to National Rail, Greater Anglia routes in the direction of Cambridge might be delayed by up to 30 minutes or cancelled as emergency responders attend the scene. London Overground routes between London Liverpool Street and Cheshunt have also been impacted, and cancellations are being reported on the Stansted Express as well. Greater Anglia is reporting that this is 'due to a person hit by a train.' Elsewhere commuters relying on the Piccadilly line face severe delays on Thursday morning due to a faulty track. According to TfL, staff are fixing a fault with the track at Cockfosters that is currently impacting the rest of the line. For now, there is a good service on all other lines, and commuters are reminded that their tickets can be accepted on the Elizabeth Line, Great Northern, South Western Railway, Weaver Line and local bus services. Munich car attack LIVE: Police shoot at Mini 'driven by Afghan asylum-seeker' after it rams into crowd injuring dozens
At least 28 people have been injured after a car veered into a crowd of people in the German city of Munich. Two of the people injured are thought to be in a serious condition, with many more being treated on scene for their injuries. Bavarian governor Markus Söder said that 'it is suspected to be an attack'. Police said the driver was 'secured'. It later emerged the suspect is believed to be a 24-year-old Afghan asylum-seeker. It comes as US Vice President JD Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky were due to arrive in Munich later on Thursday ahead of a major security conference starting on Friday. However, the investigations into a motive are ongoing.
