The 'EastEnders' actress took a break from Albert Square to take part in the spin-off of the hit BBC reality series and revealed that she has been scarred for life by the programme's confrontational round table scenes. Tameka told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I can't look at a round table again. I'm like, 'Do we have a square or oval please?' Never a round table again. It is brilliant, but equally it can be stressful." The 48-year-old star is looking forward to watching the show as she didn't get the complete picture of proceedings during filming in Scotland and has also hinted at some dramatic scenes for her character Kim Fox upon her return to Walford. Tameka said: "There is going to be more joy now that Kim is back on the Square, and she is going to be a bit emotional. I hope viewers understand her pain." Article continues below The star suggested that Kim's husband Vincent Hubbard (Richard Blackwood) could be making a return to the BBC soap for the first time since 2018 – even though the character was declared dead in 2021. Empson said: "If he turns up then he's got to turn up with something in his hands. It's been a long while now. Watch this space, people." Meanwhile, Tameka revealed that she "enjoyed" the way 'EastEnders' marked its 40th anniversary in February and shared the sadness of viewers following the tragic death of Martin Fowler (James Bye) following an explosion at the Queen Victoria pub. Article continues below She told "I really enjoyed the 40th, if I'm honest, because it had everyone in it, and it was sad to see Martin go. It really was. And I think, well, the nation felt it, and people took time off work." Tameka was also impressed with the community feel of the soap's special week of episodes to mark the milestone anniversary. The actress, who has played Kim since 2009, said: "I think it was a real time where you saw all the characters coming together, and 40 years in the game as well. I remember watching it as a child, and now I'm in it, and to be there, it's a real... that's a real moment for me, I have to say."

EastEnders actress Tameka Empson, who plays Kim Fox on the BBC soap, told The Mirror all about her 'stressful' but 'great' stint on Celebrity Traitors, teasing drama ahead Soap star Tameka Empson found Celebrity Traitors so "stressful" she can never look at a circular table ever again, after filming the dreaded Round Table scenes. "Can we get a square table, maybe an oval one," the EastEnders favourite joked with The Mirror at this year's British Soap Awards. But despite some tense moments, all to be revealed when the show launches this Autumn, the Kim Fox actress, who took a short break from the BBC soap to film Claudia Winkleman's hit competition series, said she had a "great time". Tameka, 48, can't wait to see it all unfold onscreen, hinting she wasn't there for some of the moments set to air. Perhaps this could tease an early banishment for the comedian, while she told us of her appearance on the show alongside the likes of Clare Balding, Stephen Fry and Jonathan Ross: "It's out of the bag now. I loved it. "What I would say is that when you watch it and then when you are in it, it's two completely different things. Oh my God." Letting out a nervous laugh, she went on: "It is brilliant, but equally it can be stressful. You are working out who is who. I had a great time." As we asked whether the several comedians taking part, herself included, brought a light-hearted feel to the show, she teased this was not the case, with it set to be just as dramatic as the civilian version. She told us: "Well you have got to wait and see. I am looking forward to seeing it as well actually. "When you are watching it you are seeing everything else too, but when you are in it you are not. So I am interested to see it all." It's then that she commented on the brutal Round Table scenes, suggesting things could get pretty tense this series. She quipped: "I can't look at a Round Table again, I'm like, 'Do we have a square or oval please?'. Never a round table again." With Tameka away from EastEnders for filming in Scotland, she teased when her character Kim does return there's emotional scenes ahead. She spilled: "There is going to be more joy now that Kim is back on the Square, and she is going to be a bit emotional. "I hope viewers understand her pain. Maybe I've said too much." Tameka also teased a return for presumed dead Vincent Hubbard, Kim's late husband played by Richard Blackwood, who vanished from the show in 2018. It was claimed a few years later that he'd been killed, but could he be making a return? Tameka teased: "If he turns up then he's got to turn up with something in his hands. It's been a long while now. Watch this space people." Tameka then confessed she'd like to see Kim have two men fighting over her like onscreen sister Denise Fox. During the 40th anniversary, viewers got to vote for who Denise ended up with out of Jack Branning and Ravi Gulati. The actress reckons Denise and Jack's reunion was perfect as the pair, who have worked together for years, are like "old slippers". She's now hoping she too will have a similar twist.

Woman's Super Sad Thrift Store Find Has People Feeling All Sorts of Sentimental
When the people we love pass on, one of the most difficult but important things we do is go through their belongings. It's during this process many tears are shed as we sort through the items of a life once lived, by the people we still love who are no longer with us. While some of their things get donated, if we're lucky, we're able to keep some of their more sentimental items. After my Granny passed, I was able to get one of her jewelry boxes. Every time I open it to grab a pair of earrings, I think of her. It's a simple way to be reminded she's still with me, even if not physically. I find comfort in that. Of course, we don't usually think about the previous owners of thrift store finds when we're sorting through the boxes and shelves looking for a coffee mug, but sometimes, it's impossible not to think about. This is what happened to TikToker Tameka Janes during a recent trip to the GoodWill. She stumbled across an entire collection of porcelain Precious Moments figurines that were still in excellent condition. "One of the saddest things I've seen at the thrift store," Tameka wrote, imagining why such cherished items would now be living on thrift store shelves. TikTok definitely saw what Tameka was thinking too: Those belonged to someone's grandparent. "you know someone's Granny loved every last one of them❤️" commented Teffany Delaine. "Precious Moments!! 💔💔💔 my great grandma loved those." said Panda. "A lot of parents started collections for their kids of things they liked, doesn't mean the recipient cherished those things. My dad collects everything on earth so nothing is special at this point." said Elizabeth Christine. Of course, we'll never know the true story behind this specific collection. For all we know, they could have just been random decor gathering dust on someone's shelf they just wanted to be rid of so they took them to the thrift store. However, with a bit of empathy and some imagination, it's not hard to picture those Precious Moments figurines on a shelf in a warm home, dearly loved by someone once.
