Entries invited for photo contest to mark International Biodiversity Day on May 22
The Tamil Nadu Biodiversity Board invites entries for a photo contest to mark International Day for Biological Diversity on May 22. The campaign is part of state-wide celebrations organised in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Biodiversity Conservation and Greening Project for Climate Change Response, Greater Chennai Corporation, and Care Earth Trust.
The contest has two themes: 'Roots and Reflection', which explores Tamil Nadu's cultural ties to biodiversity through native plants, animals, and landscapes mentioned in Sangam literature; and 'Bio Heritage', which highlights sacred groves, traditional practices, and everyday interactions between people and nature.
Participants across Tamil Nadu can submit original JPG images under 10MB with captions. AI-generated content, plagiarism, watermarks, or vulgarity are not allowed. Selected photos will be showcased during the Tamil Nadu Government's Biodiversity Day celebrations. For details and submissions, visit
