Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber Used to Be Asked About Having a 'Crush' on 'Full House' Uncle John Stamos: 'A Gross Question'

Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber are recalling the awkward questions they once had to field regarding their Full House costar John Stamos. The two actresses were playing a game of 'Would You Rather' on their How Rude, Taneritos! podcast when they came across a question asking whether they would rather 'marry' the Full House character Joey Gladstone (played by Dave Coulier) or Jesse Katsopolis (played by Stamos). The pair quickly chose Gladstone, but noted how 'weird' the question was to 'answer.' Barber, 48, explained that they used to get asked a similarly odd question while doing press for the popular '80s TV show. 'It's like when people ask us in media interviews, 'Did you ever have a crush on John Stamos?' Like, that is a gross question. No!' Barber said as Sweetin, 43, agreed. We do not think of them that way,' Andrea added. Sweetin, who played the niece of Stamos' character on the show, noted that the Grandfathered actor, 61, and Coulier, 65, were like her 'uncles' — both on and off the show. She also admitted that choosing one of their characters to marry was strange. 'It's like, I wouldn't marry anyone because they're like family, and it's weird,' she shared. 'But I guess if I had to pick based on, you know, temperament alone,' Sweetin said, before Barber finished her sentence: 'We're going with Gladstone.' 'There's nothing remotely attractive about this,' Sweetin said, addressing the subject again later in the podcast episode. 'They are just our buddies.' Sweetin, Barber and Stamos starred together on the original Full House series from 1987 to 1995, alongside Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Bob Saget, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and more. In 2016, the cast (minus the Olsen sisters) reprised their original roles for the Netflix spinoff series Fuller House. Sweetin even told PEOPLE in 2018 that they are all still protective of one another. 'I remember I told my [then-fiancé], 'Just so you know, you will have to meet my family and then you'll have to meet my Full House family. And I'm not sure which is going to be tougher, ' she recalled at the time. 'Bob [Saget] sat down with my fiancé and had a whole conversation with him,' she continued, 'and totally had the dad conversation with him.' Read the original article on People
