Oman pavilion attracts strong interest at Algiers International Fair
ALGIERS: The Sultanate of Oman's pavilion at the 56th Algiers International Fair is drawing large crowds of Algerian visitors and businesspeople, reflecting strong interest in Omani products and industries.
As the guest of honour at this year's event, Oman has taken the opportunity to showcase the depth and diversity of its industrial, commercial, and service sectors. Visitors to the pavilion have praised its unique design, which reflects the authenticity of Omani culture and heritage.
Tareq Mousuni, an Algerian entrepreneur in the plastics industry, highlighted the quality and competitive pricing of Omani plastic products, noting their popularity among Algerian consumers. 'The pavilion is an excellent platform for us to explore potential business collaborations,' he said.
Another visitor, Iman Boutelja, expressed her admiration for the variety of products on display. 'It's a beautiful and well-organised pavilion. I believe Omani companies will successfully secure distribution deals and agency contracts in Algeria,' she noted.
Algerian businessman Abdulrahman bin Omar echoed this sentiment, describing the pavilion as an opportunity for deeper commercial ties. 'Omani industries are known for their quality. I've decided to pursue partnerships with several Omani firms in the electricity and agriculture sectors,' he revealed.
The Omani pavilion features 60 companies operating across diverse sectors including pharmaceuticals, transportation, electrical equipment, real estate, fisheries, tourism, food production, and handicrafts.
The Sultanate of Oman's prominent presence at the fair is expected to pave the way for stronger trade and investment relations between Oman and Algeria, while providing Omani companies with valuable access to the North African market. — ONA
