CID is more than a show; it is an emotional experience. The show premiered in 1998 and has since become the most popular crime TV show. It has a huge fan base. We've enjoyed the famous characters that this show has introduced. Shivaji Satam, Hrishikesh Pandey, Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastava, Narendra Gupta, and others have made this show memorable for us. Even the show's dialogues have become legendary. However, the show went off the air in 2018. Fans were disappointed when the 20-year run came to an end since it had been so special. People asked the creators to bring back the show. ACP Ayushmaan also quit the team, returning ACP Pradyuman's chair. With the recent twist, Janvi Chheda, aka Inspector Shreya, returns to the show. From entering the coveted Sri Ram College of Commerce in New Delhi to launching their own startups and from studying law to medicine, each one of them wants to forge a path shaped by focus, passion, and purposeful dedication. Strawberry Fields High School student Aarit Sharma (18), a resident of Panchkula's Sector 12, topped the commerce stream with 99.5% . "There was no secret formula. I just stuck to a steady rhythm — no cramming, no burnout," said Aarit, who now plans to pursue BCom (hons) at SRCC. A cricket lover, Aarit attributes his success to consistency and discipline. His father, Amit Sharma, runs a liquor business, and his mother, Shefali, is a homemaker. Tarika Bahl (18), also from Strawberry Fields, scored 99% in humanities. "Not clearing CLAT last year shook me, but it taught me that failure isn't final. You must learn from it and keep pushing forward," said Tarika, who is now focused on law. Daughter of Punjab and Haryana high court judge Vikas Bahl and homemaker Monica Bahl, Tarika is a movie buff, avid reader, and cricket enthusiast. In the non-medical stream, Advay Bajaj (18), also from Strawberry Fields High School, scored 99% and emerged as the tricity's top performer. A resident of Sector 7, Panchkula, Advay has his sights set on building his own startup in future — a goal that has shaped much of his academic focus. With a background of 98.8% in Class X, he approached his final year with clarity and consistency, supported by his father Arvind Bajaj, a consultant, and his mother Mansi Bajaj, a marketing head. "I got serious only after Dec, but once I did, it was full commitment — six to seven hours of studying daily," said the topper from Sector 44. Navtaj's father, a farmer, lives in the village while her mother moved to Chandigarh to support her studies. Navtaj also enjoys performing giddha and bhangra at school events. Hunnardeep Kaur (18), a student of Yadavindra Public School in Mohali, also shone in the medical stream and scored 95%. "It's all about balance — studies, sports, and even social media," said the head girl and swimmer. Hunnardeep plans to pursue medicine or biotech. Her father, Harbir Singh Virk, is a civil engineer, and her mother, Navdeep Kaur, is a freelancer. YPS-Patiala's Mallik is national topper Mallik Arjun Ahluwalia of YPS, Patiala, emerged as the national topper in the Class XII ISC exam, scoring 99.75% in the humanities stream.
