Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood says shows cancelled after 'credible threats'

Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood on Tuesday said two of his forthcoming shows with Israeli-born rock musician Dudu Tassa had been cancelled due to "credible threats". The guitarist and keyboardist had been due to perform two dates with Tassa in the western English city of Bristol and in London in June. A pro-Palestinian activist movement that advocates political and economic action against Israel over its treatment of Palestinians welcomed the announcement. "Palestinians welcome the cancellation of both of their UK shows. We reiterate our call for all venues to refuse to program this complicit event that can only artwash genocide," the PACBI-BDS movement, which had campaigned against the performances, said on X. Announcing the axing of the shows, Greenwood, Tassa and their musicians said the "venues and their blameless staff have received enough credible threats to conclude that it's not safe to proceed". The letter posted on X said the decision would be "hailed as a victory by the campaigners... but we see nothing to celebrate and don't find anything positive has been achieved". "Forcing musicians not to perform and denying people who want to hear them an opportunity to do so is self-evidently a method of censorship and silencing," it said. "We believe art exists above and beyond should be free to express themselves regardless of their citizenship or their religion -– and certainly regardless of the decisions made by their governments," it added. The letter comes after Irish rappers Kneecap had several concerts cancelled. British counter terrorism police last week launched an investigation into online videos of the Irish band after it denied supporting Hamas and Hezbollah or inciting violence against UK politicians. The police probe came as nearly 40 other groups and artists rallied around Kneecap with a joint statement in which they said that "as artists, we feel the need to register our opposition to any political repression of artistic freedom". Greenwood and his fellow musicians added: "We have no judgement to pass on Kneecap but note how sad it is that those supporting their freedom of expression are the same ones most determined to restrict ours." Radiohead performed in Tel Aviv in 2017 despite being urged to cancel as part of a cultural boycott. "Playing in a country isn't the same as endorsing its government," Yorke wrote on Twitter at the time. "We've played in Israel for over 20 years through a succession of governments, some more liberal than others. As we have in America," he said. "We don't endorse Netanyahu any more than Trump, but we still play in America," he added. — AFP

An Anua pore-clearing cleansing oil that uses the calming powers of heartleaf oil to soothe irritated skin and eliminate makeup residue, blackheads, and sebum while preventing pore congestion — perfect to incorporate in a double cleansing routine! It's also hypoallergenic and works wonders for sensitive, acne-prone skin. Promising review:"My skin is *super* sensitive, but as I've aged (44 years), I feel like my pores have become more visible. I hadn't used an oil cleanser before and wasn't 100% sure how it should all work. The Anua oil cleanser works how we all once hoped Biore pore strips would work back in the day but without any pain or irritation. My skin is combination skin, so I have to be really careful about not drying out the dry spots (and getting eczema) and not over-hydrating the oily spots (and getting a breakout). I rub the oil on my face as the first part of my cleansing routine; I massage it in for ~60 seconds and then put a small amount of water on my fingers and begin rubbing that on my face. The water starts the emulsification process and helps to clean out everything the oil has bonded to/mixed with. Then, I just rinse it clean and use a gentle cleanser afterward. I haven't had any irritation, redness, or fallout from adding this product to my skincare routine. I love it. I am almost through my first bottle and if I go a few days without using the cleanser, my pores become more visible/dirty again. I will definitely keep purchasing the Anua oil cleanser." — Tassa Get it from Amazon for $14.15. 2. A fast-drying nail concealer made with a blend of biotin and keratin to give you the strong, healthy-looking nails of your dreams — gone are the days of broken nail tips and rough ridges! It also provides a lovely hint of pink color that works great as a top coat *or* on its own if you're just a minimalist looking for something that'll give your nails a soft, flawless finish. The only thing more satisfying than this will be all the $$$ you're saving on manicures. Promising reviews: "My Dior nail glow ran out, and I saw this brand had a [lookalike} for that. I liked this color even more... Excellent everyday, clean-looking polish. Seems stronger than Essie." — reviewer22 "Growing out my nails has always been a challenge for me; I'm guilty of biting and peeling/picking at my nails when I'm nervous. This product has completely changed my nail game. It gives my nails a hard protective coating, and the tint of pink makes even my stubby nails look professional and pretty." — Andi Get it from Amazon for $5.65. 3. Good Molecules Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel, which is like treating your face to a morning espresso shot. It uses the power of yerba mate, caffeine, and peptides to soothe the delicate skin under your eyes, and also contains three forms of hyaluronic acid to moisturize. And here I was thinking there was only one type of hyaluronic acid — the more ya know! Promising review:"I love this product and have noticed a huge difference when using it consistently. I am on the younger side and don't have the worst under-eye bags, but on those occasional mornings when my eyes are puffy with somewhat visible dark circles, this product definitely does the trick! Honestly love all the Good Molecules products." — Hayden Smith "Saw this on TikTok and decided to give it a try since the price was amazing. OMG, buy it. I've always had dark circles under my eyes and now fine lines and crow's-feet. While this doesn't completely eliminate my dark circles, the fine lines are really diminished. It wears extremely well under makeup and doesn't feel cakey or like there's a ton of product on." — K. Grant Get it from Amazon for $5.98. 4. An OGX leave-in conditioning cream so you can properly flaunt the curls that we all envy. This miracle cream gives you ultra-soft curls and moisturizes them to boost their shine. Bouncy spirals of hair without the need to style with heat? Yes, please. According to reviewers, this product can add more definition to 1c wavy hair, and provide moisture and smoothness all the way up to type 4c hair. Promising review:"Absolutely love this stuff! It's the one hair product I have to have. I rotate shampoos and conditioners but have never found anything to put on damp hair that I like as much as this. It says it's for curls, but works great on straight hair, too." — Bunco Queen of the Universe Get it from Amazon for $7.97. 5. Or a nourishing Brazilian 2-in-1 conditioning treatment by Skala that you'll *especially* love if you've got some curly tresses you'd like to define. This miraculous tub of cream has castor oil and shea butter that'll help combat hair breakage and reinforce brightness and hydration. Skala Cosmetics is a Brazilian beauty brand located in Minas Gerais. Promising review:"This is the best leave-in conditioner I have used in my entire life, and I hesitate to say this because it is already so hard to find! But seriously — the product moisturizes really well without feeling heavy, or leaving buildup. I have super picky, fine, frizzy 3C hair and this (along with their other products) completely changed my texture to silky smooth!" — Sandra 6. Gold Bond's firming neck and chest cream because our décolletage is too often forgotten when it comes to skincare needs. This elixir is a pro at improving your skin's firmness, texture, *and* elasticity. Its salicylic acid gently exfoliates dead skin cells while its stress response proteins boost your skin's moisture retention to improve smoothness and suppleness. It also contains glycerin and aloe, adding some extra hydration. Iconic, truly. Promising review: "My dry neck and the annoying itchiness I used to experience have completely gone away after using this cream. It's not only soothing, but it also feels like it's really nourishing my skin. The firming benefits are a bonus! I highly recommend this product to anyone dealing with dryness or discomfort in their neck and chest area. It's become a must-have in my skincare routine." — JAcosta Get it from Amazon for $11.97 (also available in a two-pack). 7. Maybelline's Lash Sensational Sky High mascara if you want long lashes that give dramaaa. 😍 Guess this mascara didn't get its name for no reason! It applies beautifully, and it might just shock you with how much length and volume it can give, *without* the icky clumpiness! Promising review:"I recently tried this new lash mascara, and it has quickly become my favorite! The formula is lightweight yet incredibly volumizing, giving my lashes a dramatic lift without clumping. The wand design allows for precise application, easily reaching every lash, even the tiny ones. I love that it lasts all day without smudging or flaking, which is a must for me. Plus, it's easy to remove at the end of the day. Overall, this mascara has delivered the perfect combination of length and volume, making my eyes pop. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting gorgeous lashes!" — sailor moon Get it from Amazon for $8.32 (available in seven shades). 8. Or this cruelty-free E.l.f. tubing mascara, which quite literally wraps your lashes with lengthening tubes for a fuller appearance. A unique benefit of this? It makes it SO easy to remove at the end of the day — no mindless scrubbing needed! It's even enriched with a dash of jojoba seed oil to condition your lashes while providing that striking length. BuzzFeed Shopping writer Emma Lord considers herself a fan: "I am not a new human to the tubing mascara game, and in fact, I readily spent $26 on the famous OG blend from Blinc every time it needed replacing. I didn't even love it for the length half as much as the fact that tubing mascara like this genuinely never smudges, but can I just say — regardless of price, the E.l.f. tubing mascara formula blows all the others I've tried out of the water. It gives me way more length and volume than other brands, slides on so much more easily, stays put ALL day, and never, ever smudges. My favorite part, though, is how gently and easily it comes off with soap and water. In the past, other mascara removals have felt rough on my lashes, but this comes off so fast that I'm like ??? was I even wearing mascara a minute ago?? Anyway, I hesitate even writing this review because I want to gatekeep the hell out of this before it sells out, but the world needed to know. I'm a big fan of the brown shade (which is what I'm wearing above!), but it also comes in black and soft black." Get it from Amazon for $7 (available in three shades). 9. A brightening facial scrub for anyone who yearns for the exfoliation of their dead skin but doesn't want to feel like they're rubbing sandpaper on their sensitive face. This scrub keeps things soft and smooth thanks to its sea kelp, while the French green clay and lemon peel lightly buff and banish your dead skin away. Trust me, that glow will leave you feeling just a tiny bit obsessed. Promising review: " This stuff works great on my skin. It's gentle yet cleans so well. It removes sebum so well! The little black seaweed has a little distinctive smell but nothing noticeable. I wish I'd known [about] it sooner. Definitely magic stuff!!!" — Kristye Get it from Amazon for $11.99. 10. A gentle LilyAna Naturals retinol cream that this reviewer (an esthetician of over 13 years) has deemed "The BEST hidden gem!!" This magical cream supports natural collagen production, combats uneven skin tone, and smooths rough texture. How, may you ask? It comes jam-packed with all the goods, including botanical hyaluronic acid, shea butter, organic green tea, organic jojoba oil, and vitamins A and E. LilyAna Naturals is a small business! Promising review:"The older I get- the drier my skin seems to get. I read about this brand from a blog I follow. So I checked the reviews - and decided to try it. To say that I am blown away would be an understatement! I simply cannot express how pleased I am after literally just three uses. Normally, my skin is so dry that nothing seems to help, but this. THIS! It makes my skin feel great, and it even looks great! It's not greasy, but it moisturizes. The texture feels like whipped velvet!! It is so luxurious and feels amazing on my skin. My skin feels hydrated and normal. I feel like shouting from the rooftops how amazing this stuff is! The eye cream is just as good and a little goes a very long way. I am sold! This product is superior!!" — Shanon L. Edwards Get it from Amazon for $22.49+ (available in two sizes). 11. And a retinol body lotion, because the superpowers of retinol is not just for your face! It's overflowing with powerful ingredients like vitamins A and E, ferulic acid, shea butter, and green tea to help diminish the look of deep wrinkles, fine lines, sagging skin, crepey skin, and even sun damage — all while giving your collagen production a *major* boost to help with firming. Promising review:"I could kick myself for not trying this sooner! It is my new favorite lotion... After one night of using this, I woke up to smooth, soft moisturized skin that wasn't itchy at all. This lotion goes on and absorbs beautifully. It's not too thin or thick, and the scent is sensational... It's not greasy or slick and does not have a residue that pills or transfers." — TickTokAlice Get it from Amazon for $15.09 (also available in seven other styles and in packs of two). 12. Painless, mint-flavored teeth-whitening pens — you'll see the difference almost immediately. They're minty fresh and help whiten your teeth after years of drinking coffee, tea, wine, and basically anything that isn't water. 🙃 Promising review:"Exceptionally easy to use even for lazy people like me. I saw good gradual results despite only using once daily — very happy as I cannot tolerate trays and hate strips!" — belle rouge Get a pack of two from Amazon for $18.95 (also available as a single pen). 13. A waterless dry shampoo *foam* if you just DON'T have time (or energy) for an "everything" shower. This lets you cancel out the grease and add some volume back to your locks without worrying about having to shake out the residue of your usual powder or spray dry shampoos. Amazon Promising review:"I have very, very fine and fragile hair. It's wavy (2b–2c with some 3a curls mixed in). My ends are dry, and my scalp gets very oily quickly. When the product arrived, I was on second-day hair. I worked the foam through my roots and the sides of my head. The most oily places for me. It was easy to work through, and it smelled fresh and clean. My results were amazing! My roots looked clean, no residue or buildup like powder dry shampoos. My scalp does not itch, and it gives my fine, flat hair a ton of volume. Also, my hair looks thicker when I use it. I usually can't go more than a day or two without washing my hair. With this product, I was able to go four days without washing my hair." — Amelia Tilton Get it from Amazon for $7.57. 14. SkinSmart's Facial Cleanser Spray that, TBH, anyone who perspires will appreciate because it's designed to target bacteria that causes acne and blemishes *without* drying your skin. Whether you're a healthcare professional, an athlete, a frequent traveler, or a student who dashes from class to class, you'll swear by this. Plus, many reviewers compare it to the pricier Tower 28 SOS Spray! Promising reviews:"I bought this very skeptical and was amazed by the results. I use it as a toner and in three days I was already seeing my texture disappear. I will definitely buy it again." — Angelina Fernandez " Does the EXACT same as Tower28 for a fraction of the price! I love it; my face feels refreshed. Highly recommend, no shade to Tower28, they are great, but this is cheaper and if you're on a budget, use this alternative! Great for after work, the gym, or existing in these hot summer months. If you have sensitive skin, it's gentle." — Paul Rosenbluh Get it from Amazon for $17.46. 15. A creamy E.l.f. color corrector, which is basically like a skin chameleon in a tube because it'll help camouflage redness, dark circles, and any other hyperpigmentation. BTW, the green works *wonders* for neutralizing redness before applying foundation and concealer. The yellow shade works to brighten dullness in fair to medium skin tones, the peach shade masks dark spots in fair to medium skin tones, the orange shade masks dark spots in deep skin tons, green neutralizes redness for all skin tones, and blue can be mixed with foundation to offset overly warm tones. Promising review: "So I was in a car wreck on the third of June 2024, and in the first picture [above], you can see a lot of the markings that are on my face. I just got this concealer in the mail today, and not a moment too soon, because I have an important Zoom meeting. You want to talk about coverage!!!! Now, purple is a really hard color to cover, but this product did it, and I took a picture [above] just to show how well! I am super impressed. Plus, the price point is amazing, and it's just as effective as any high-end product. It went on silky smooth! Thank you, E.l.f. cosmetics, you saved me!" — Jessica Get it from Amazon for $4 (available in five shades). 16. The Catrice "Instant Awake" Under Eye Brightener to help balance out the bluish tones of under-eye shadows and dark circles. And bonus! It's infused with hyaluronic acid and shea butter to nourish your skin and give you a radiant glow. Wear it by itself or under your concealer for a more full-coverage look! Plus, reviewers say it's a perfect alternative to Becca X Smashbox's similar formula. 👀 The color-adaptive formula is designed so one of two shades will work on any skin tone. Promising review: " I was amazed by how well this corrected the color under my eyes and with such little product. I literally tap the pad of my ring finger onto the product and tap it under my eyes. It's not necessary to wipe and pick it up. Love it!" — Teri L. Get it from Amazon for $6 (available in four shades). 17. And Maybelline's Dark Circles Treatment Concealer infused with Haloxyl, a peptide complex that's meant to reduce dark circles and tighten skin. Its a cushion applicator makes it easy as pie to conceal those raccoon eyes before you head out for another day of making the world believe you totally did not stay up marathoning your latest Netflix true crime docuseries. Promising reviews:"I have some discoloration/hyperpigmentation, and I am not usually good at using concealer. This is easy to use and perfect for beginners and amateurs like me." — Marie "I am a 30-year-old female. I have extremely dark under-eye circles. Honestly, that is the only reason I wear makeup — to cover them. I've used numerous kinds of concealers. Tarte Shape Tape, Mary Kay, Estee Lauder (assorted kinds), IT Cosmetics Bye Bye under eye, Clinique, Laura Mercier, Mac, and Bobbi Brown. I usually spend anywhere from $25–$30 on one tube of concealer and still feel unsatisfied with the coverage. Or it looks too heavy and thick by the time I sit with a damp makeup sponge and powder (accentuating my under-eye fine lines). This little gem is great. I use this concealer every day instead of all my high-end brand concealers. It's full coverage, buildable, lasts all day, is not drying, and is not too liquidy. I'm so happy I gave this a try, will definitely be keeping this baby in my everyday makeup bag." — Brittney Get it from Amazon for $8.98+ (available in 28 shades and various pack sizes). 18. A bottle of sulfate-free biotin shampoo that 35,000+ reviewers swear by, which is no surprise because this magical potion banishes product buildup on your scalp and is enriched with botanical extracts that work to thicken and hydrate your hair. You'll soon be wanting to do a hair flip every chance you get. Read more about how biotin shampoo could help with the fullness of hair at Cleveland Clinic. Promising reviews:"I love this shampoo! I had gastric sleeve surgery, and my hair was very, very thin. I started taking biotin and switched to biotin shampoo, as recommended by my doctor. It doesn't make your hair grow by washing it, but it makes your hair and roots stronger. And it worked. After using the whole bottle, my hair was stronger. I had a lot of new growth that was sticking around (the previous new growth fell out early on), and my hair was getting thicker. Eight months later, my hair is back to normal. It's longer and thicker than ever." — Diane J. Huff "This shampoo is like NOTHING I've ever tried in the past. The way my 4C hair comes out after using this is INCREDIBLE. Soft, easy to comb, and super manageable. I've been using it for two years!" — Jae Maple Holistics is a small business that specializes in beauty products with all-natural ingredients. Amazon Promising review: "I was initially concerned that these nails might be cheap due to the price, but they exceeded my expectations. They are sturdy and don't bend like other brands I've tried. Get it from Amazon for $14.99 (available in nine prints). 20. Or a gel nail kit — aka an all-in-one glam gem. It includes basically everything you need to tap into your inner nail tech (just make sure to grab that UV LED lamp)! The kit comes with the base coat and two top coats (one for a matte finish and one for a glossy sheen) and 20 gorgeous colors to choose from. Just apply the base, then your color, cure it under the lamp (and apply more layers as needed!), then apply your top coat and cure once more. Promising review:"Perfect for beginners. I'm new to the whole nail scene but I figured I'd make an investment of $100 on gel nail polish, led light ect. I tried using this polish on my natural nails after prepping then and I'm pretty happy... The colors are beautiful!! I was a little surprised by the smaller size, but for $20, you can't beat it!!! It is such a good variety and has a beautiful, deep pigment. I10/10 would recommend. 👏🏼" – MiKayla Cary Get it from Amazon for $18.99+ (available in four color varieties). 21. A wildly popular rosemary mint hair-strengthening oil with a magical blend of strengthening biotin, moisturizing jojoba, and the powerful duo of rosemary and mint oils to not only awaken your scalp but also encourage those roots to grow to the length of your dreams! This oil is designed specifically for 3A-4C hair types. Read more about how biotin shampoo could help with the fullness of hair at Cleveland Clinic. Promising review: " I started using this oil on my hair after watching TikToks about it. They did not lie. This product works great! I have been using it for about a month now, and I have nothing but good things to say. I like to lather it on my scalp and let it sit for a couple of hours before showering. Thanks to its blend of beeswax, shea butter, and almond oil, it works to soften dead skin and add a nice dose of hydration — all while you get your beauty sleep! I bought this lip repair balm based on the reviews, and after the first night, I started noticing my lips healing! I apply the lip repair to my lips every night, and it keeps my lips moist throughout the night. I just ordered my second order! Highly recommend!" — Delia L Kolinek Get it from Amazon for $8.99 (also available in a two-pack). 23. And a Hawaiian-based exfoliating lip scrub because you should have a smooth canvas to spread the beloved lip balm on. The sugar granules will help buff away any crusty flakes, while the kukui oil will leave behind a touch of moisture. And that good ol' shea butter will have you saying "aloha" to soft, silky lips in no time. Promising review: "I usually suffer from chapped lips in the winter, to begin with, but now having braces makes it 100x worse. I have tried all kinds of different lip balms and moisturizers, and nothing was helping. I have used this product once (and followed up with their lip treatment), and the dryness and peeling are gone. I wish I had tried this a lot sooner. It would have saved me from weeks of dryness and soreness!"— Kathleen Maresch Hanalei is a small business based in Hawaii. Get it from Amazon for $20.65. 24. These glamorous reusable magnetic lashes that'll have you turning heads one blink at a time. Say goodbye to struggling with glue and wasted lashes — each set of these sticks right to the included eyeliner, so you can finally toss that goopy glue out. Promising review:" The easiest lashes to apply!! With traditional lashes I really struggled because my hand wasn't as steady and my eye would flutter while trying to put them on, but with the magnetic liner the lashes just latch on to the liner with no problem once the liner is semi dry. Definitely will buy a second set to have on deck. I recommend for those who struggle with regular lashes!" — Tamara Get an five-piece set from Amazon for $18.99. 25. A silicone-free L'Oréal 8 Second Wonder Water Lamellar Hair Treatment, which works its magic in eight (!!!) seconds to give dull-looking hair a dose of shine and silkiness. Those with straighter hair say it helps smooth flyaways and add volume, while those with coily hair say it enhances their natural curls and adds shine. Promising review:"I don't usually do reviews on products, but for this one I absolutely have to. I have 3c type hair and struggle with a lot a breakage, unmanageability, and moisture. When my mom mentioned this product to me, I didn't take her seriously because of the simple fact that we have two completely different hair textures. I never would have thought this brand would work on my hair ... I have never in my 22 years felt my hair like this. I feel like I have a completely different head of hair. This product is so amazing, and I will FOREVER be using this product in my hair regimen." — Theressa Hailey Get it from Amazon for $10.97. 26. An affordable prescription-strength Differin retinoid gel — aka the strongest thing you can purchase without a prescription. This miraculous (yet affordable) gel helps reveal a new skin layer and dives deep into your pores to clear breakouts before they can out." My only regret is that I wish I would have found this sooner to save my skin from scarring." — Ashley Lester "This stuff actually works. I work in a spa, and I've tried dozens of different products that cost five times the price to try to clear up my acne-prone skin and NOTHING has worked as well as Differin gel. One of my esthetician coworkers recommended it to me, and dang if she wasn't right. It will dry out your skin pretty badly, so make sure you have and use a good moisturizer, but my skin cleared up in less than two weeks, and I'm still amazed." — Rin Wisell Get it from Amazon for $14.97+ (available in four sizes and two bottle styles). 27. A hydrating Cosrx repairing essence that works so effectively it's got some reviewers wondering what kind of witchcraft is in it. It can also give your skin a natural "I woke up like this" glow that has earned it over 59,000 5-star ratings! Reviewers mention seeing a reduction in dark spots and acne, and even people with oily skin find that it absorbs quickly and doesn't clog their pores. New to essences? Try applying this after cleansing but before your moisturizer. Applying it to clean skin and under you moisturizer will help lock in all that snail mucin goodness! Promising review:"This is a product that works for anybody! I apply it once I have washed my face on damp skin. It can be slightly slimy; once again, it is snail mucin, but you only really feel it when you apply it to dry skin. I usually allow it to dry for a bit until it becomes slightly tacky before I put a moisturizer on. I have combination skin. My forehead and chin tend to be oily, but my cheeks dry, and this has really evened that out. I really recommend this because it isn't harsh to the skin and perfect for beginners." — Nelita Henry Get it from Amazon for $16.98. 28. A six-piece (!!) set of high-performance matte lipsticks because it'll feel like ~nothing~ on your lips while adding a gorgeous pop of color to your glam. Promising review: "What can I say? I saw a TikTok about this lipstick, and for $10, I had to try it! The reviews are right, for some reason this lipstick is better than even $20 name brand ones bought from Ulta. Not only does it smell great, but it dries in under a minute and survived eating a cupcake, a Starbucks drink, and an entire evening out, no smudging, and had to be removed with a makeup wipe. Fantastic product!!" — Claire Get a six-piece set from Amazon for $8.99 (available in six color sets). 29. A bottle of widely popular Bio-Oil Multiuse Skincare Oil with vitamins A and E, chamomile, sunflower, and lavender oils to help fade scars and stretch marks while helping your skin retain moisture and achieve a more even tone. This reviewer even compares this stuff to modern witchcraft. Promising review:"Acne scars? Read this. I found out about this product while scrolling through TikTok last week. It came highly recommended, so I decided to look up the price on Amazon. After reading several reviews, I figured I might as well try it out. Today is the fourth day I use the product on my face. My skin looks dewy and nice. The discoloration on my cheeks from a few years old acne scars is improving. My skin looks younger — it's hard to describe, but I can see a difference. It looks less rough. I've been using it morning and night." — Yasmin Rodriguez Get it from Amazon for $11.12+ (available in two sizes). 30. A Wet 'n Wild lightweight tinted hydrator that can be listed under the makeup *and* skincare categories (unlike your current foundation 👀). At just over $5, this incredibly affordable little gem is infused with hyaluronic acid and squalane to help improve your skin over time, making it feel soft and moisturized. It applies just like a normal moisturizer but has just enough pigment to reduce redness and blur pores. Promising reviews:"This is a sheer coverage and buildable foundation perfect for beginners." — Fee fee mcgee "I've tried so many tinted moisturizers, and hated every single one. I was very surprised when I used this one, and it went on flawlessly. I used to love a heavy matte foundation with powder to finish it. However being a teacher, I need to just be able to get ready for work and go and I needed something that would stay on all day especially on hot days. This tinted moisturizer is easy to apply, it only takes a minute, you can top with powder if you need to, but it literally has great coverage it stays on all day and I believe that it's actually making my skin look better because of the hyaluronic acid, I've been using it for almost a year now and my skin looks great." — Allison G Kosman Get it from Amazon for $5.38+ (available in eight shades and also in packs of two). 31. L'Oreal's Lumi Glotion to achieve a summery sun-kissed look enhanced by that natural glow of yours. It's a lotion, glowy foundation base, and highlighter all in one bottle. It's infused with glycerin and shea butter for extra moisture, and you can even use it on your body, so you can glow from head to toe! Promising review:"I love this product. It makes it look like you have a natural glow, without feeling heavy or looking cakey. Great for those with dry skin who can't wear heavy foundation but want to smooth out their skin." — Jessica Giles Get it from Amazon for $13.95+ (available in six shades and various packs). 32. A foolproof eyebrow stencil kit so that you can perform your brow powder application with confidence. This includes 30 wearable stencils that ensure your brows look ~flawless~ every time. It's also extra helpful for anyone who's ever had an over-plucking phase (the early 2000s did a number on us 🙃). The kit comes with 30 different eyebrow stencils, a shaping razor, and a double-sided waterproof eyebrow pencil. Promising review:"Really great! Surprisingly! I bought these expecting the worst and they were awesome! There are tons of different eyebrow stencil options. I found one closest to my eyebrow shape. I struggle with drawing my eyebrows to match. Their shapes are naturally quite different. This set did a great job. I used my own brow pencil however because the light brown color is very crayon brown. I like a more taupe color for my brows." — Chls Get it from Amazon for $9.99 (available in four colors). 33. NYX's extreme hold eyebrow gel for those days when your brows have a mind of their own and refuse to cooperate. Its precise applicator makes it easy for you to brush across your brows, and it claims to hold them in place for 16 hours with no flakiness or that icky white residue! Promising review: "I would use hair spray to hold my eyebrows, and throughout the day, I would sweat through it, and it wouldn't last. I tried this because the price was great, and I'm glad I did. This product is awesome. I've had it on my brows for a nine-hour shift, and they are still in place! It doesn't dry and get flakey, nor does it feel uncomfortable on the skin. Lastly, I use brow powder, and this does NOT affect the look of the powder, nor does it smudge it. I will FOREVER buy this product." — Shelby Get it from Amazon for $9.88 (available in four shades). 34. A popular long-lasting eyeliner stamp so that the nemesis of your makeup routine is no longer such a hard step. Say goodbye to wasting all your cotton balls (and all those extra minutes you could've used making your coffee) on failed attempts at a flawless eyeliner flick. This stamp will do it for you! One side is the curved wing stamp, and the other is a regular fine tip liner for defining the rest of the eye. It comes in a pack of two, one for each eye. The Flick Stick comes from New Zealand-based brand and small biz Lovoir Beauty. Promising review:"Got this before a trip I took a few days ago. I have never been able to do wing eyeliner properly so I was excited to try this. It's very pigmented and goes on beautifully! I've tried other liquid eyeliners before and they were so watery and not close to a dark black I wanted at all but this product was great. I did my makeup and put this eyeliner on at 9 am, traveled two hours, walked around a city for about three hours and it was warm so I was sweating, and then went to an NBA game. After all that time (about 16 hours!), the eyeliner was just as perfect as I had put it on! I love this product and can't wait to use it more often!" — Elizabeth Get a set of two from Amazon for $14.98 (available in three sizes and a combo pack). 35. Promising reviews: "This stuff is so legit I've gone through three bottles. Adds the perfect glow to your skin! Sometimes, I use it under foundation, and sometimes, I use it solo with a bit of concealer. I will never not repurchase it for the price and how beautifully it sits on the skin. This stuff is viral for a reason!!" — mapagill "If you like Charlotte Tilbury, flawless filter, this is leaps and bounds better! Just buy it. The coverage is better; [it] makes my skin have the most amazing natural glow! The colors run with a more warm/yellow undertone, which worked great for me! These are designed to be slide-proof, so you can harness your inner Glinda and ✨toss-toss✨ without messing up your 'do. Promising review:"I'm a nursing student and have to wear my hair in a bun every day. I've tried all the bun makers, watched YouTube videos, and spent way too much time on getting my hair into a bun. I was able to make a pretty bun that was secure in under 30 seconds. I thought it was a fluke so I did it again, and then again. I have hair to my mid back, and three of these worked perfectly for me. If I can get my hair in a bun in under 30 seconds, trust can." — Tina Get a pack of three from Amazon for $5.94 (also available in a two-pack). Jonny Greenwood and Dudu Tassa Release Statement After BDS Campaign Prompts Concert Cancellations

Jonny Greenwood, June 2024 (Valeria Magri/SOPA Images/LightRocket via Getty Images) Jonny Greenwood and Dudu Tassa say 'censorship and silencing' led to the cancellation of their two UK concerts next month under pressure from the the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign. The Radiohead musician and Israeli singer are longtime collaborators, but have faced renewed criticism over their willingness to keep performing in Israel as the nation's military levels neighboring Gaza. The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) supported protests against the UK concerts on the grounds that Greenwood and Tassa were 'artwashing genocide.' A statement on social media attributed to Greenwood, Tassa, and their musicians said the two venues, Bristol Beacon and Hackney Church, had 'received enough credible threats to conclude that it's not safe to proceed.' Those claims are unsubstantiated, PACBI notes, saying the shows 'were cancelled following peaceful BDS pressure.' Pitchfork has emailed the venues to clarify the nature of any threats and how they have been linked to the BDS movement, as Greenwood and Tassa imply. The duo's statement continues, 'Forcing musicians not to perform and denying people who want to hear them an opportunity to do so is self-evidently a method of censorship and silencing. Intimidating venues into pulling our shows won't help achieve the peace and justice everyone in the Middle East deserves.' PACBI, which helped found the BDS movement, has argued in a string of statements that Greenwood and Tassa's ties to Israel go beyond cultural exchange. The campaign to boycott their tour was prompted by a Tel Aviv concert, in May 2024, when the duo performed 'on a night that genocidal Israeli forces massacred displaced Palestinians in their tents in Rafah, burning them alive, just a short drive away.' Greenwood, in a statement last year, argued that BDS is 'silencing Israeli artists for being born Jewish in Israel.' Responding to today's statement, PACBI noted that the duo recently performed at Tel Aviv club Barby, which, in 2014, handed out T-shirts to Israeli Defense Force soldiers reading 'Fuck you, we're from Israel,' after the IDF's massacre of Palestinians in Shejaiya. PACBI added that it is calling for the boycott of 'future shows by Greenwood's other projects, including Radiohead, unless they convincingly distance themselves, at a minimum, from his consistent, shameful complicity in artwashing Israel's genocide in Gaza.' The record Greenwood and Tassa are touring—Jarak Qaribak, Arabic for Your Neighbour Is Your Friend—is primarily an album of Arabic love songs, featuring singers from Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, and Iraq, their own statement notes. Nour Freteikh, a Palestinian singer, also appears on the record, along with guests from Egypt, Dubai, and other Middle Eastern countries. Greenwood and Tassa say that while critics on the political right say their music is 'too inclusive, too aware of the rich and beautiful diversity of Middle Eastern culture,' those on the left argue that they are 'only playing it to absolve ourselves of our collective sins.' They continue, 'We dread the weaponisation of this cancellation by reactionary figures as much as we lament its celebration by some progressives.' Greenwood and Tassa draw comparisons between their show cancellations and the international backlash against the Irish rap trio Kneecap, who broadcast messages at Coachella condemning Israel for 'committing genocide against the Palestinian people.' Footage was later unearthed of a member of the group saying 'up Hamas, up Hezbollah' and calling for the death of Conservative members of Parliament. (Kneecap have since apologized, claiming the latter footage was taken out of context and they have never supported Hamas or Hezbollah; UK terror police is investigating the trio.) A statement by artists including Massive Attack, Pulp, and Fontaines D.C. condemned the 'concerted attempt to censor and ultimately deplatform' Kneecap. Greenwood and Tassa's statement responds, 'We have no judgement to pass on Kneecap but note how sad it is that those supporting their freedom of expression are the same ones most determined to restrict ours.' In his Red Hand Files newsletter, Nick Cave appeared to concur with the notion that defending Kneecap while denouncing Greenwood and Tassa amounted to 'hypocrisy.' The duo's statement concludes, 'We feel great admiration, love and respect for all the performers in this band, especially the Arab musicians and singers who have shown amazing bravery and conviction in contributing to our first record, and in touring with us. Their artistic achievements are toweringly important, and we hope one day you will get to hear us play these songs—love songs mostly—together with us, somewhere, somehow. If that happens, it won't be a victory for any country, religion, or political cause. It'll be a victory for our shared love and respect of the music—and of each other.' Greenwood has well-established roots in Israel, dating back to a Pablo Honey–era tour of the country that Radiohead members have cited as the first time they were treated like superstars. On the tour, Greenwood met his wife, Sharona Katan, an Israeli artist of Egyptian and Iraqi descent. Their nephew, the Israeli Defense Force sergeant Reef Harush, was killed in combat in Gaza in 2024 at the age of 20. One of Greenwood and Tassa's concerts in Israel that year was a benefit for Harush. Originally Appeared on Pitchfork

Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood says UK shows cancelled because of credible threats

Radiohead musician Jonny Greenwood has said his forthcoming UK shows were cancelled because of 'credible threats'. The guitarist and keyboardist has collaborated with Israeli-born rock musician Dudu Tassa for more than a decade, and the pair were due to perform at Bristol Beacon's Lantern Hall and London's Hackney Church in June, after releasing the record Jarak Qaribak in 2023. The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (Pacbi), a member of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, welcomed the axing of the gigs. It had launched a campaign for the venues to cancel the dates, claiming the duo's performances 'would have whitewashed' the war in the Gaza Strip. The campaigners said that Greenwood and Tassa's claims were 'unsubstantiated' and were an attempt to divert attention from their links to Israel's cultural community. On Tuesday, a letter from Greenwood, Tassa and their musicians said: 'The venues and their blameless staff have received enough credible threats to conclude that it's not safe to proceed. Promoters of the shows can't be expected to fund our, or our audience's, protection.' The letter added that the 'cancellation will be hailed as a victory by the campaigners behind it, but we see nothing to celebrate and don't find that anything positive has been achieved'. It went on: 'Forcing musicians not to perform and denying people who want to hear them an opportunity to do so is self-evidently a method of censorship and silencing. 'We believe art exists above and beyond politics; that art that seeks to establish the common identity of musicians across borders in the Middle East should be encouraged, not decried; and that artists should be free to express themselves regardless of their citizenship or their religion – and certainly regardless of the decisions made by their governments.' The musicians said their touring show also features singers from Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait and Iraq, with 'each of the members brought together by a shared love of Arabic song, regardless of where exactly they all happened to be born'. 'We find ourselves in the odd position of being condemned by both ends of the political spectrum,' they added. 'For some on the right, we're playing the 'wrong' kind of music – too inclusive, too aware of the rich and beautiful diversity of Middle Eastern culture. For some on the left, we're only playing it to absolve ourselves of our collective sins. 'We dread the weaponisation of this cancellation by reactionary figures as much as we lament its celebration by some progressives.' They also cited artists defending Northern Irish rappers Kneecap, saying they 'feel the need to register our opposition to any political repression of artistic freedom', after the trio were criticised when one member appeared to call for Tory MPs to be killed. 'We have no judgment to pass on Kneecap but note how sad it is that those supporting their freedom of expression are the same ones most determined to restrict ours. 'We agree completely with people who ask 'How can this be more important than what's happening in Gaza and Israel?' They're right – it isn't. How could it be? What, in anyone's upcoming cultural life, is?' They said their Arab musicians, singers and music are 'toweringly important', and if they get to play together again it will be a 'victory for our shared love and respect of the music – and of each other'. Greenwood, also a two-time Oscar-nominated composer, was criticised by pro-Palestinian groups last year for performing in Tel Aviv amid the war in Gaza. Radiohead had performed at Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv in 2017, when the group's frontman, Thom Yorke, reportedly told the crowd: 'A lot was said about this, but in the end we played some music.' Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, Paul Weller and Primal Scream are among the artists who have have opposed politicians calling for Kneecap to be dropped from the Glastonbury Festival line-up. Videos of a member of Kneecap allegedly saying 'The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP' in November 2023 and another of one of the group appearing to shout 'Up Hamas, up Hezbollah' in November 2024 are being investigated by counter-terrorism officers. The Diocese of London said: 'Hackney Church was informed last Friday by the promoter that the event wouldn't be going ahead and was instructed by the promoter to inform those who had bought tickets that they would receive a full refund.' A spokeswoman for Pacbi said: 'Jonny Greenwood and Dudu Tassa have turned to unsubstantiated claims, attempting to divert attention from this ongoing complicity.' The statement added their pressure was 'peaceful', and also said: 'Tens of thousands of artists, writers and cultural workers and a growing number of arts organisations have publicly endorsed the cultural boycott of Israel's complicit cultural sector, as called for by Pacbi more than two decades ago.' Bristol Beacon, Avon and Somerset Police, and the Metropolitan Police have been contacted for comment. Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood says shows cancelled after 'credible threats'

We reiterate our call for all venues to refuse to programme this complicit event that can only artwash genocide," the PACBI-BDS movement, which had campaigned against the performances, said on X.
