Heavy traffic expected in Uptown Charlotte for weekend events
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Heavy traffic is anticipated in the Uptown area from Friday, June 6, to Sunday, June 8, due to the Savannah Bananas game and the Taste of Charlotte Festival.
The following streets will be closed starting on Thursday, June 5:
9 a.m. – South Tyron Street between Brooklyn Village Avenue and Trade Street
6 p.m. – Levine Avenue of the Arts between Church Street and Tryon Street
10 p.m. – Mint Street between Morehead Street and First Street
10 p.m. – Brooklyn Village Avenue between Church Street and Mint Street
10 p.m. – Graham Street between Mint Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
The following streets will be closed starting on Friday, June 6:
9 a.m. – Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between Church Street and College Street
9 a.m. – Third Street between Church Street and College Street
9 a.m. – Fourth Street between Church Street and College Street
All streets will reopen on June 8 by 11 p.m.
