Three arrested after weeks-long drug investigation in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Three people were arrested following a weeks-long investigation into drug activity in northeast Charlotte, officials say.
On Thursday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, along with the assistance of VICE and CMPD SWAT, executed a search warrant in the 4200 block of Blackwood Avenue.
The North Tryon Division's Crime Reduction Unit and VICE had worked together for several weeks to investigate narcotics sales for this location.
As a result of the investigation, a Taurus 10mm firearm, approximately 1.3 grams of suspected crack cocaine and $817 were seized.
Three people were also arrested:
Ivan Salinas-Perez: Possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, order for arrest for carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia
Alondra Sanchez Arcia: Order for arrest for driving while intoxicated
Adriana Cruz: Order for arrest for parole violation
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
