Celebrity football match returns to south Essex raising awareness for autism and ADHD

A much-loved celebrity football match has made its return to south Essex to raise awareness for autism and ADHD. The United for Charity event at the Len Salmon Stadium, in Bowers and Pitsea on May 10, attracted more than 350 people. In partnership with Team Avery Essex and Anna Kennedy Online, the event raised more than £1,700 while shining a spotlight on Autism and ADHD awareness. The charity team (Image: Tiego Grenho Photography) Founder Chris Cooper said: "We organised similar matches before the pandemic, and when Team Avery Essex and Dr. Anna Kennedy OBE approached us to bring them back, it didn't take much convincing. "This event wasn't about formal training - it was about community, connection, and celebrating inclusivity."
