Influencer's ‘dangerous' gender reveal stunt with ‘TNT' blast sends pregnant woman flying: ‘At what cost?!'
They put her on blast. A well-known Florida influencer and mother-to-be faces criticism after her extravagant gender reveal put her and her unborn child at risk. Lele Pons, from Miami, hosted a lavish party with a showy stunt to announce the gender of their baby. Along with her husband, Pons stood on stage in front of a background with a sign that read 'Team Boy' behind dad and 'Team Girl' behind mom. People in rain ponchos stood under each sign waiting. The expectant parents then pressed down on a handle that read 'TNT' — and turned around to see pink gloop shooting out of the 'Team Girl' side. The sketchy substance rushed out, covering the people standing under the sign. But the liquid shot out so quickly it flooded the stage immediately — causing Lele to slip and fall to the ground, while her husband jumped for joy. The pregnant woman struggled to get her footing and continued to slip while everybody celebrated — when the proud papa turned around and saw his wife in distress. Lele laughed it off as her husband held her upright, but viewers did not find the situation as hilarious. The video quickly went viral on Instagram and people were not impressed. 'Omg this is so dangerous. Not even funny,' one person noted echoing many of the other comments. 'A girl but at what cost, it was almost not any gender,' another said. 'Did she nearly lose her child over a gender reveal?' someone asked. 'Literally the most dangerous reveal I have seen!' another person commented. While people's reactions may seem a bit explosive, they come as people have increasingly rejected gender reveal theatrics after some have ended in wildfires, jailtime and even death. Several years ago, the woman credited with inventing the trend even began begging the public to stop the 'toxic' practice.

Mom-to-be influencer followed by Shakira, Shraddha Kapoor goes flying during gender reveal party; video goes viral
Gender reveals are getting more over-the-top every day, and one recent stunt from Florida has people talking — and not all in a good way. Social media influencer and soon-to-be mom Lele Pons, best known for her YouTube fame and stint on Dancing with the Stars, is under fire for a dramatic reveal that many say took things a step too far. At a flashy party in Miami, Pons and her husband stood onstage in front of a setup that had 'Team Boy' and 'Team Girl' signs on either side. Groups of people in ponchos stood beneath each sign, ready for the big moment. The couple pressed down on a button labeled 'TNT,' triggering a sudden burst of pink goo that blasted out from the 'Team Girl' side, confirming they're expecting a daughter. The goo drenched the people below, but it didn't stop there. It flooded the stage so fast that Pons lost her balance, slipping and falling while her husband celebrated with a leap of excitement. As the goo kept coming, Pons tried to stand but kept slipping. Her husband eventually turned around and helped her up while she laughed off the mishap. A post shared by Gender Reveal Miami (@genderrevealmiami) The video quickly went viral. While some viewers found it hilarious, others weren't as amused. One person wrote, 'This is so dangerous but happy for her.' Another user, apparently a professional in the event space, commented, 'As event professionals we have to do better with risk assessment and ensure our clients are better cared for. Sometimes saying NO is ok for their safety. This could have been tragic and thank God it wasn't.' A third user wrote, 'I think this was a great gender reveal but they should have been away from everything lollll.' Another Instagram user wrote, 'Baby almost returned to sender.' A fifth user wrote, 'I feel like this is a Nickelodeon slime episode.' Lele Pons, born Eleonora Pons Maronese on June 25, 1996, is a Venezuelan-American internet personality, actress, singer, and comedian. She shot to fame on the video platform Vine, where she became the first 'Viner' to reach one billion loops. After Vine shut down, she expanded her presence on YouTube, where she has amassed over 18 million subscribers, creating comedy sketches and episodic content. Pons has also ventured into acting, appearing in the MTV horror series Scream and the romantic comedy We Love You.

Lele Pons slips twice and falls hard during chaotic gender reveal as she expects first baby with Guaynaa
Lele Pons slipped twice and fell during her chaotic gender reveal, as she expects her first baby with her husband Guaynaa. The 28-year-old YouTube starlet held a ceremony in which she stood between two groups of people under arches reading 'Team Boy' or 'Team Girl.' After a countdown, Lele and Guaynaa pushed down on a pump and the 'Team Girl' people were deluged with pink liquid. Cheers erupted and Guaynaa leapt festively off the front of the stage away from Lele - but the moment did not go entirely as planned. As the pink fluid spread across the stage, Lele slipped in it twice and tumbled hard, prompting people nearby to rush to help her as Guaynaa turned around and realized what had happened, running back towards his wife. Luckily the Venezuelan-born influencer was able to stop herself from falling on her baby bump, with only her legs and feet hitting the floor, in footage posted to TikTok. Lele and Guaynaa were so overjoyed that they quickly recovered from the mishap, hugging each other and laughing ecstatically. Their loved ones also kept celebrating around them, as pink streamers were then blasted into the air, falling over the revelers. The footage was posted online by the event planning company Gender Reveal Miami, which arranged the event for Lele and Guaynaa. One of the guests at the gender reveal was Lele's close pal, the songstress Anitta, who has been named the baby's godmother, according to Hola!. The other attendees included Lele's uncle, Latin superstar Chayanne, as well as such names as Harry Jowsey, DJ Khaled and Venezuelan singer Ricky Montaner. Once the reveal itself was finished, Lele took of her heels and whirled around the dance floor with her husband, crowing: 'It's a girl!' One side of the event venue was done in pink, and guests could go there to be served cuisine from Lele's native Venezuela. Meanwhile the other side of the room was decorated in blue, with Puerto Rican dishes available in honor of Guaynaa's country of origin. Last month, the couple ecstatically announced Lele's pregnancy on Instagram; pictured this Thursday at the Billboard Latin Women In Music event in Miami Last month, the couple ecstatically announced Lele's pregnancy on Instagram, telling their impending child: 'can't wait to meet you! We love you- Mom & Dad.' Lele and Guaynaa sent romance rumors into overdrive in 2020 when they collaborated on a song called Se Te Nota (It Shows On You). By the end of that year they had confirmed they were an item, and they ultimately went down the aisle at a Miami ceremony in March 2023. One month after their nuptials, the couple released a joint album called Capitulaciones, which largely had a reggaetón flavor.
