More than 18,000 show up for 40th edition of the Miami Corporate Run
More than 18,000 people people took part in the 40th edition of Miami's largest office party at Bayfront Park for the Lexus Miami Corporate Run on Thursday.
Each runner who completed the 3.1 miles received a commemorative medal.
The number of participants is encouraging while the event struggles to reach pre-pandemic levels.
'We had 26,000 to 28,000 people pre-pandemic, and it has taken some time to get companies back, but we are getting more and more each year,' said Derek Hodes, executive director of TeamFootWorks, which produces the Corporate Run events. 'Some companies no longer exist, others restructured, but it's great to have a company like Royal Caribbean back with such a big team.'
