AMD's Radeon RX 9060 XT is a direct shot at Nvidia's RTX 5060 — here's why I think it will hit the bullseye
In the worst-kept secret of Computex 2025, AMD has just announced its new GPU — the Radeon RX 9060 XT. The self-proclaimed 'world's best graphics card under $350' will be available to buy on June 5th with a starting price of $299. That lower price is for the model with 8GB of video memory (the storage space for all those shiny in-game graphics), and for $349, you can double that to 16GB — a much better number given how demanding AAA games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are. And if AMD's numbers are reflective of real-world testing (trust me, I'll be testing the hell out of it), then this is looking like the ultimate combo breaker of performance and value for money that is ready to take on the Nvidia RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti. Let me explain. So the first bit that is clear is you're getting more for your money — 6% faster gaming based on testing 40 of the most played games, and 15% better gaming performance per dollar vs the 5060 Ti. Nvidia has led the way on this with DLSS 4 — bringing crazy frame rates and impressive detail to AAA games (as you can see in our RTX 5060 testing). But AMD has been catching up fast with the fourth generation of its FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technology, which the RDNA 4 architecture of these new GPUs is purpose built for. The tech is taking another significant leap forward with 'Redstone.' This is the next update to the tech that really turns up the heat on its machine learning capabilities with three new additions: Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Is this kind of copying Nvidia's homework? Sort of. There are differences in the tech, but DLSS has been doing a lot of this for a while now. But that doesn't mean it's a bad thing — in fact it's the best decision AMD's made, as it now puts Team Red on an even playing field to really compete. All it needs now is more games, and over 60 titles will come armed with FSR 4 support by June 5th. Speaking to AMD, they talked about how this will open the door to potential multi-frame generation (what has been fuelling those 200+ FPS results on Nvidia RTX 50-series cards since the beginning of the year). And there's one simple reason why all of this comes together to potentially make Team Green pretty green with envy. You see, with all these numbers, AMD has been keen to tell us all about how it is the Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti's worst nightmare. But I think the real target here is the 5060. I got talking to a bunch of my mates in the press pool after the announcement, and the wow moment wasn't 'I can get 6% better performance for $30 less,' it was 'I could spend $50 more and get a way better GPU.' Our friends over at PC Gamer have been doing some proper in-depth testing of the RTX 5060, and the results were what I expected — play by Nvidia's rules and you'll be fine, but try to play something outside of its realm and you'll face the limitations fast. And that's why AMD's move is kind of a stroke of genius here. On paper, the RX 9060 XT is an altogether stronger card, and for just an additional 50 bucks, you can get it with double the video memory for those more demanding games? One thing is for sure: the GPU wars have never been as big as they are right now. That is, of course, if companies who make these GPUs can stick to the MSRP. All we can do is cross our fingers on that one.

Old Glory Ultra Relay: Cross-country trek honors US veterans
(NewsNation) — A dozen veterans ran 3,000 miles from San Diego to Washington, D.C., as part of the Old Glory Ultra Relay, a coast-to-coast trek that broke the record for the continuous relay of an American flag across the United States. Team Red, White and Blue coordinated the run, which lasted from May 2 to May 18, with a goal of raising $1 million for veterans' health and wellness resources. 107-year-old man finally receives Iowa high school diploma The organization wanted to do something special for Team RWB's 15-year anniversary, longtime team leader and retired Special Forces Col. Michael 'Sully' Sullivan told 'Morning in America.' Though the group has previously had veterans run with the flag, this year's relay had a uniquely lengthy goal. 'We thought this would be an amazing way to bring awareness to our cause, to show that veterans aren't broken, that they can do amazing things every single day for this nation,' Sullivan said. First in her family: Texas woman graduates after juggling three jobs Cole DeRosa, a retired army lieutenant and a team runner, reflected on the journey. 'We're moving 4 to 5 feet at a time, mile after mile, day and night, you know, through the deserts, over the mountains, in the snow, blazing hot,' DeRosa said. 'So, once you hit that finish line and saw the friends and family, the excitement, it brought tears literally to my eyes.' So far, Team RWB has raised more than $750,000 of its $1 million goal. ‘Makes you proud to be an American': Veterans running across US reach East TN
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Over the course of the last two weeks, a dozen military veterans have been running across the country raising money and awareness for veteran health services. Team Red, White and Blue started planning the Old Glory Ultra Relay last year. They started running in San Diego and have their sights set on Washington D.C. On Thursday night, one of the runners made their way through Turkey Creek. Team Red White and Blue is an organization that provides health and wellness opportunities to military veterans. The Old Glory Ultra Relay showcases what veterans are capable of when they return home. Ribbon cut on new 264-home neighborhood in North Knoxville 'We really decided that we wanted to do something impactful and epic and show the American people what veterans are capable of,' said Team Red, White and Blue deputy director John Pinter. 'Health and wellness is not good in America in general right now, I don't think that's any secret. It's actually worse in the veteran community. For the first time really since they've ever been recording it, veterans are more unhealthy than the general population.' State Senator Richard Briggs of Knoxville has nearly 40 years of active and reserve military service. He came out to Turkey Creek as a runner came through. Briggs said it makes him proud to be an American to see how peopled reacted to the runners. Over 33,000 applications submitted on first day of Tennessee school voucher program 'People were getting out of their cars. They were cheering and they were waving,' Briggs said. 'We watch these things that happen on television, we think maybe our country is divided and will never be the same. You see these guys running across the country and carrying a flag from California to Washington D.C., you see how ordinary citizens are reacting. It makes you proud to be an American and gives you hope that America will continue to be the greatest country in the world.' The group has been met with widespread public support across the country. 'We have been met with nothing but support from the American people. It's been really, really meaningful to kind of see what that's like,' Pinter said. 'Schools, little kids, I mean everyone has been super supportive of this and it really kind of recharges your batteries. I think as veterans we were all like 'hey this is the America we signed up to defend.' ▶ See more top stories on The 12 runners are broken up into four teams each group running an eight-hour shift. I was told there is non-stop movement as someone is on the ground running 24 hours a day until they get to D.C.
