Tiger Woods' son Charlie wins first AJGA tournament at Team TaylorMade Invitational
Charlie Woods is officially a champion on the United States' premier junior golf circuit.
Woods, a rising junior at the Benjamin School and the son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, soared to his first AJGA victory on Wednesday at the Team TaylorMade Invitational at Streamsong Resort's Black Course in Bowling Green, Florida.

He shot a final round 66 (6-under) to close the tournament at 15-under overall, three shots clear of Ponte Vedra Beach's Phillip Dunham, Arkansas' Willie Gordon and Texas' Luke Colton at 12-under.
The victory represents an individual breakthrough for Woods, who entered the tournament ranked No. 604 in the American Junior Golf Association boys rankings. His previous best AJGA finish was tied for 25th at the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley in March.
The invitation-only field at Streamsong Resort included Jacksonville Beach's Miles Russell (No. 1 in the latest AJGA rankings) as well as Colton (No. 5) and Alabama's Tyler Watts (No. 7).
Woods, who opened the tournament with rounds of 70 (2-under) and 65 (7-under), started the final round tied for second. He once again dominated the opening nine holes, carding five birdies and a lone bogey to move into a solo lead after the turn.

He then birdied three of his next four holes and coasted into the clubhouse with a three-shot lead after closing the final round with four straight pars.

Woods is currently ranked No. 604 in the AJGA rankings based on four previous tournaments. His best finish was his most recent AJGA outing: a tied for 25th finish in the prestigious Junior Invitational at Sage Valley in March.
In late February, Woods finished tied for 52nd at the Dustin Johnson World Junior Championship.

In 2024, Woods carded a tied for 28th-place finish at the Adam Scott Junior Championship and a tied for 240th-place finish at the 76th United States Junior Amateur Championship.

Woods played on Benjamin's No. 2 and 3 line last fall and finished his sophomore campaign as the No. 11 boys golfer in Florida per iWanamaker.
In 2023, Woods was part of Benjamin boys golf's state championship team.
