Tech N9ne Recalls 'Dark' Story Of Sleeping With Seventh Grade Teacher He Was 'In Love' With
Respected MC Tech N9ne recently shared a 'dark' story from his past, revealing that he slept with a 21-year-old teacher when he was in 7th grade, making him around 12 years old.
The Like I Ain't wordsmith born Aaron Yates recalled the jr. high experience while on the Dumb Blonde podcast. The rapper detailed that the young teacher took interest in him after he showed her a photo of his dad in his cop uniform. From then on, she began complimenting the child's looks daily, saying to the class as they left for the day, 'Aaron is sooo cute.' He also described the teacher as 'beautiful' and felt as if he was 'in love' with her. Eventually, they started having lunch together and were caught by a student behaving inappropriately in her classroom.
'They called us to the office, and they called the teacher to the office, too, and I was sweating. They said her name and said, 'this is alarming,' and she's like, 'I would never! with a student?!' I remember her pleading her case…nothing happened. We didn't get in trouble because I didn't tell.'
He then confirmed that they regularly had sex at her home after school, as she instructed him to call his home and ask if he could stay late to help her. She'd then drive him to her place, and when finished, drop him off at home.
Host Bunnie Xo then brings up the fact that, if the genders were reversed, a male teacher pulling this on a female student would be made into a much bigger deal, with which Tech 9ine agrees. He did, however, add that his 'love' for the teacher made it difficult for him to see her as a rapist, even while he's fully aware that that is truth of the matter.
'I didn't look at it as rape, because I was in love,' he admitted.
'She groomed you,' Bunnie added. 'I love that you didn't internalize it as being molestation, you know? But responsibly, I have to say, if that was a man doing that to a little girl, we would all f**king lose our minds.'
Tech 9ine also recalled that, years later, he was told that the woman also molested other friends of his. Hear Tech tell his story below.
