Girls' football team to kick ball 20 miles from Southwater to Shoreham for charity
A girls' football team will kick a ball from Southwater to the coast of Shoreham to raise money for a breast cancer charity.
Players from the Horsham Sparrows Under 15 Girls' Team will complete the 20-mile challenge on May 17, 2025, to support the Lobular Moon Shot Project.
The project raises funds for research into lobular breast cancer.
The challenge will see the girls kick a ball from Southwater Country Park, along the Downs Link, to Shoreham Beach.
The walk will take them through Copsale, West Grinstead, Partridge Green, Henfield, Bramber, and Shoreham Beach.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Manchester Breast Centre.

Some of the team previously took part in the award-winning short film "Aguska" starring Simon Callow and Tegan Muggeridge.
The film, made by Horsham film production company Fact Not Fiction Films, raised awareness of teenage bullying in sport and lobular breast cancer.
The idea for the walk was suggested by Simon King, one of the coaches at Horsham Sparrows FC.
The event is part of a wider series of fundraising walks, organised across the UK for the Lobular Moon Shot Project.
