The two convicts—Tejbahadur from Aglow in Punjab and Gurvinder Singh from Salana in Punjab—were arrested on April 4, 2020, during a check by police on NH 52 in Dudhwakhara police station area. The check had led to 84 kg of doda post being found hidden under sacks of onions in a truck, said additional public prosecutor Rajesh Matolia. Additional district and sessions court judge Rajendra Choudhary sentenced both accused to ten years of imprisonment each and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on each.
