Bondada Engineering rose 3.73% to Rs 485 after the company announced that it has secured a Letter of Award (LOA) worth Rs 204.20 crore from Telangana Power Generation Corporation (TGGENCO) for setting up of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The order involves the setting up of a 100 MWh (50 MW x 2 hours) Battery Energy Storage System in Telangana for on-demand usage. This project falls under tariff-based global competitive bidding with viability gap funding (VGF) and will follow a build-own-operate (BOO) model at Shankarpally, near the 400/220 KV substation of TGTRANSCO. The total order value is Rs 204.20 crore and the project is to be completed within 18 months from the execution of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The company clarified that the contract does not involve any related party transactions. It also confirmed that neither the promoter, the promoter group, nor any group companies have any interest in the awarding entity. Bondada Engineering is an infrastructure company that provides engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, as well as operations and maintenance (O&M) services, to customers in the telecom and solar energy industries throughout India. On a full-year basis, the company's consolidated net profit surged 167.2% to Rs 44.73 crore on a 116.1% jump in revenue from operations to Rs 800.72 crore in FY24 over FY23.

Power Mech Projects Limited, in an exchange filing on Tuesday, announced that it has been awarded a construction contract worth ₹971.98 crore (excluding GST) by the Telangana Power Generation Corporation (TGGENCO). The project involves the engineering, design and construction of an integrated residential township at the Yadadri Thermal Power Station located in Veerlapalem, Dameracherla Mandal, Nalgonda district, Telangana. The scope of work includes independent and multistorey residential quarters, a hospital, school, clubhouse, commercial complexes, indoor stadium, sports complex and various infrastructure facilities. Key infrastructure components will include site levelling, roads, drainage, potable water tanks, overhead storage reservoirs, sewage treatment, rainwater harvesting systems and a bridge over the Tungapadu Vagu. A sub-station, street lighting and internal compound walls are also part of the development. The project is to be completed within 30 months from the site handover date, Power Mech said. Telangana State Power Generation Corp township project Telangana State Power Generation Corporation is the primary government-owned organisation responsible for electricity generation in the state of Telangana. As of 2024, the corporation has more than 10,000 employees. During an inspection of the under-construction 4,000 MW thermal power plant at Veerlapalem village in Nalgonda district, then Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao directed officials to build a township spanning 100 acres to accommodate the families of approximately 10,000 workers associated with the plant. Subsequently, TSGENCO announced plans to develop an integrated township for the Yadadri Thermal Power Station in November 2022. Power Mech confirmed that there is no promoter or related party interest involved in the awarding of this domestic contract. Following the news, Power Mech's shares increased 2 per cent to ₹2,786.10 on the BSE at 10:33 am on Tuesday.

Power Mech Projects soared 3.03% to Rs 2,808.85 after the firm said that it has secured an order worth Rs 971.98 crore from Telangana Power Generation Corporation (TSGENCO) for the 5x800 MW Yermarus Thermal Power Station (YTPS) project. The scope of work under the TGGENCO (5x800 MW) YTPS project includes soil investigation, engineering, design, and construction of an integrated township at Yadadri Thermal Power Station, Veerlapalem, Dameracherla Mandal, Nalgonda District. The township will comprise independent quarters (Type A & B), multistoried residential buildings (Stilt + 10 floors, Type D, E & F), and key infrastructure including a hospital, school, clubhouse, commercial complexes, indoor stadium, multipurpose function hall, sports complex, security rooms, and maintenance offices. Additional infrastructure works include site levelling and grading, road and drainage systems, underground potable water tanks, overhead service reservoirs (OHSR), septic tanks and STP, avenue plantation, parking sheds, rainwater harvesting pits, BT approach road including a bridge over Tungapadu vagu, main gate, internal compound walls, street lighting, and a sub-station. The contract is to be executed within 30 months from the date of taking over of the site. Hyderabad-based Power Mech Projects is one of the leading infrastructure construction companies. The company reported a 33.4% jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 82.04 crore on a 20.8% increase in revenue from operations to Rs 1,337.97 crore in Q3 FY25 over Q3 FY24.
