Speaking after netting in a first leg 2-2 draw with Willem, he said: "I think it is 100 percent certain that I will make a fantastic step this summer. Celtic transfer target Youssef El Kachati makes exit vow with 'fantastic step' tease as Lagerbielke stay ruled out
The Telstar frontman has been touted as a potential option for the Hoops this summer Reported Celtic target Youssef El Kachati is supremely confident of a big move this summer amid interest from several clubs in the Dutch forward. The 25-year-old - who has also been linked with Hannover and Schalke - has scored 13 goals in 29 appearances this season for the Dutch second tier side and netted in Thursday's 2-2 draw with Willem II in their relegation play-off final to win promotion to the Eredivisie. Brendan Rodgers is the market for a new frontman this summer and has been linked with a host of names including Brondby's Mathias Kvitsgaarden and Slovan Bratislava striker David Strelec. And while he is focused on helping Telstar reach promotion to the Eredivisie for the first time in their 61-year history, El Kachati is '100 per cent certain' he will be on the move when the window officially opens next month. Speaking after the draw with Willem II, he said: "I think it is 100 percent certain that I will make a fantastic step this summer. "But first I want to leave something behind at Telstar that will make them never forget me. "I think it is very important that I end my time here well. If I can shoot Telstar to the Eredivisie, then I will do that." Elsewhere, Gustaf Lagerbielke is set to head back to Celtic this summer, with FC Twente's departing transfer chief admitting a permanent deal for the centre back is unlikely. The Sweden international made 32 appearances in all competitions to help his team to a sixth place finish in the Eredivisie. Former technical director Arnold Bruggink confirms the likelihood of Lagerbielke remaining in the Netherlands beyond the end of his loan is not high, despite the side's need for defensive reinforcements. He said: "Lagerbielke will most likely go back too. That's what it looks like at the moment. "Two central defenders, one of whom has to be a real leader, as far as I'm concerned. "The profile you're looking at is that of Robin Pröpper. "You need a leader from the back, which will give you a lot more stability. "You need players who can also make others play better football. That's what you need in that position."

Club owner makes claim about future of Celtic-linked striker
It was reported last week that the Parkhead club are tracking the Moroccan frontman, who has scored 19 goals in the Dutch second tier this season. Read more: The 25-year-old is available on a free transfer this summer and can play on either wing. Otte recently opened up on the future of his club's star man: "After such a good season, and you are mega in the picture as Telstar, I think that good performances have not gone unnoticed," he said [NRC via RecordSport]. "As long as we cannot offer the budget of club X, we are just a springboard. We have to embrace that role. "But the players have to want to jump very high. Otherwise, you do not fit in at Telstar." Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers wanted to sign a number nine in the January transfer window after Kyogo Furuhashi swapped Glasgow's east end for Rennes. His wish never came to fruition, though, as the Scottish Premiership champions failed to find a replacement for the Japanese frontman. It remains to be seen where they may look to strengthen this summer. One thing we do know is that Kieran Tierney is returning to the club. His free transfer from Arsenal will officially go through on July 1. Also now available for nothing is Jeffrey Schlupp. His permanent Crystal Palace exit was announced on Wednesday. The Ghanaian spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Celtic.

Celtic Scout This Moroccan Forward Ahead Of A Potential Summer Swoop: Smart From The Hoops?
If a report from (as quoted by the Daily Record) is believed to be true, Celtic had their scouts in attendance to monitor Youssef El Kachati during Telstar's decisive playoff tie against Den Bosch. The Moroccan found the net from the spot, as the White Lions grabbed a 2-1 AET win en route to clinching a promotion to the Eredivisie. Born in the Netherlands, the 25-year-old attacking ace progressed through Noordwijk and Sparta Rotterdam's academy ranks before breaking into the latter's reserve squad in Tweede Divisie. He was handed a few senior appearances in Eerste Divisie during the 2018-19 season; however, El Kachati struggled for minutes since the Castle Lords' top-flight promotion in 2019. After just one Eredivisie appearance, Sparta released him in March 2020, when the season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Advertisement The former Morocco U23 international returned to Noordwijk and then joined Westerlo for gametime. While he could not leave an impact on either of them, a Bosman move to Quick Boys changed his fortune. After failing to agree on a contract extension with Blue White Jesters, El Kachati joined Telstar in the Eerste Divisie. He was instrumental to Telstar's Eredivisie promotion, and his emergence has caught the eyes of the Scottish champions. Former footballer turned Dutch TV pundit Hans Kraay has also revealed Celtic's interest in El Kachati. But the Hoops are not alone in the race with Hannover and Schalke, as well as top-flight Dutch outfits, also keeping close tabs on the Telstar sensation. 'Celtic were in the stands to watch Youssef El Kachati. I know that for sure. He has been in contact with Hannover and he has been in contact with Schalke too. He has a lot of interest from other clubs too, including ones in the Eredivisie. He can take his pick at the end of the season. He wants to go abroad.' Why Celtic Are Keen To Have Him This Summer Meanwhile, his availability as a free agent must have fascinated the suitors across Europe. Celtic parted ways with Kyogo Furuhashi in January but failed to rope in an outright 'number 9' before the window was shut. Daizen Maeda showed his mastery as a makeshift centre-forward. But Jota's knee injury saw the Japanese hitman return to his usual left-wing role to incorporate Adam Idah down the middle. The Irishman and his fellow compatriot, Johnny Kenny, are the only striking options Brendan Rodgers has in his ranks. Kenny, nevertheless, is not ready to spearhead the attack as a first-team regular, whereas Idah needs competition to offer more consistency high up the pitch. Despite proving his flexibility across the frontline, El Kachati fits well as a marksman who would challenge and cover Idah week in and week out. Snapping him up for nothing would allow the Celts to bolster other areas and build on last season's strong Champions League run.

11 amazing inventions from the 60s and 70s which changed our lives
1 . Communications satellites The launch of the first communications satellite, Telstar 1, on July 10, 1962, was perhaps the biggest leap forward in the field since Guglielmo Marconi sent the world's first radio message across open water in 1897. It beamed the first transatlantic television feed later that month and, as well as satellite TV, paved the way for GPS and many other things we take for granted today.
