Kumbabhishekam at Thiruparankundram temple on July 14
The kumbabhishekam for the famous Sri Subramanian Swamy Temple, Thiruparankundram is to be conducted on July 14 between 5.25 a.m. and 6.10 a.m., said Temple Board of Trustees chairperson P. Satyapriya. The shrine, which is one among the 'Arupadaiveedu' of the Lord Muruga, draws huge devotees daily. The last kumbabhishekam was performed 12 years ago. According to the Deputy Commissioner (HR&CE) M. Suryanarayanan, the 'muhurthakaal' would be laid on May 23. The yagasala pujas would commence from July 10 and conclude on July 13. Vedic priests and scholars were making arrangements for the holy event. Temple Trustee Shanmugasundaram and others participated in a review meeting held on Saturday, officials said.
