Ricky Saints On Leaked Royal Rumble Footage: I Don't Accept Weird Behavior, I Should Have Sued
Ricky Saints reflects on his Royal Rumble visit being leaked online.
Saints, then known as Ricky Starks, attended the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble to support his friend Cody Rhodes. Starks, who was under contract with AEW, was confirmed to be backstage after security footage of him was leaked online. The incident drew a considerable amount of attention due to Starks' AEW status, although Starks didn't actually do anything wrong.

Saints appeared at WrestleMania 41 media day, where Ten Count Media's Steve Fall asked Saints how he felt about the way the footage was leaked. Saints said that he doesn't accept the mentality that it's 'part of the wrestling business' and won't tolerate weird behavior.
Ricky Saints initially didn't understand the gravity of the situation
'You know, at the time, I thought it was kinda weird and dumb. I didn't really understand the significance of it until the following day. But, I think stuff like that is kinda crazy. I think certain people overstep a line doing that type of stuff and there's nothing to gain from it. There is an intent behind doing stuff like that, [but] it is what it is,' Ricky Starks said.
'I don't regret anything like that, I didn't do anything wrong. It's just very odd, a very odd situation that anyone could [try and justify it by saying] 'that's the industry you're in. You've got to get used to it.' I don't accept any type of weird behavior, whether it's at an airport, whether it's security footage,' Starks continued. 'I don't accept any of it just because of 'the industry' that I'm in or because of the status that I have. We're all people that should have some type of decency amongst us. I should have sued. I should have sued [The Alamodome].'
