Celtic legend bumped into Kylie Minogue while playing golf
Frank McAvennie met the global superstar while playing golf recently. The 65-year-old former Hoops player shared his meet-up with the singer on Instagram. It is unclear where the ex-footie icon bumped into the star, however, Kylie appeared to be at Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort, a five-star hotel in Bishopton, Renfrewshire, on Friday, May 16. The 56-year-old performed at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on May 16 as part of her Tension Tour 2025. It's amazing who you bump into on a golf day." Frank is a well-known former Scottish professional footballer from Glasgow. During his career, he had two stints at Celtic. He first played with the East End club between 1987 and 1989. Frank then left Celtic before returning for two years from 1992 until 1994. Meanwhile, Kylie is an internationally known Australian singer, songwriter, and actress. She is known for her much-loved tunes, including I Believe in You, Padam Padam, and All the Lovers.

Kylie Minogue ahead of Glasgow OVO Hydro gig soaks up some Scottish sunshine
Kylie Minogue's 2025 Tension Tour will continue in Glasgow's OVO Hydro tonight, Friday May 16. Kylie Minogue has been enjoying the great Scottish weather ahead of her Glasgow show tonight. The Australian pop icon will take to the stage at Glasgow's OVO Hydro as part of her Tension Tour 2025. Tickets for the Glasgow gig sold out so quickly, after going on sale last year, that the queen of pop decided to add another date, much to the delight of her Glasgow fans. Taking to Instagram, Padam Padam singer Kylie wrote: "Ohhhhhh heyyy Sunny Scotland!! Glasgow, are you ready to break the Tension..." It's not confirmed where the singer is staying during her time in Glasgow, although from the photos posted on social media it suggests she is staying at the lavish Mar Hall hotel, based in Renfrewshire. Kylie was beaming as she posed in front of the grand historic building. She even took some time out from her hectic schedule to go for a swing in some bucket chairs on the grounds. Fans were quick to comment on the post. One fan said said: "Thanks for bringing the sun. Looking forward to seeing you tonight," as someone else echoed, "You brought all that American sunshine with you!!!!" A third person wrote: "See you tonight, doll." A fourth quipped "Never been more ready for anything else in my life." "I so am and I'll be wearing a vintage 30yr old t-shirt, my red kyliekat one from t in the park 1995," someone else chimed. One fan pleaded, "Kylie it's my birthday, pls sing Tightrope or Disco Down or I Believe in You," as another gushed, "Can't wait to see you later, it doesn't seem real," alongside a crying emoji. "Buzzing to see you," another wrote alongside a love heart, "Welcome back to Scotland," they beamed as they shared a sun emoji. The OVO Hydro also commented: "See you tonight." he second date will take place on June 6 next month. She also added additional dates to Birmingham and London following the huge demand for her 2025 tour. The Grammy-winning artist will also entertain crowds in Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham, as well as performing two nights at The O2 in London. Kylie expressed at the time: "I am beyond excited to announce the Tension tour 2025." Following reaction to the tickets being released and the incredible demand, Kylie decided to add on three extra dates, which she took to Instagram to announce, much to the delight of fans. The pop sensation isn't the only huge star coming to Scotland this year, with Oasis planning to head to Edinburgh as part of their massive 2025 reunion tour. In September, superstar Billy Joel announced that he would also be gracing the stage at Murrayfield next summer, instead of June this year as originally planned.

She was all smiles as she posed in front of the gorgeous historic building and even took a shot on some swings on the property. Fans were quick to comment on the post. A fourth said: "Never been more ready for anything else in my life." The OVO Hydro even commented: "See you tonight." It comes after ScotRail announced today that they have renamed Kyle of Lochalsh, Kylie of Lochalsh for today only.
