Kazakhs Sign $1.1 Billion Pact With UAE Firm to Develop Airport
Kazakhstan signed a $1.1 billion investment accord with a United Arab Emirates' aviation services provider to develop the capital's airport, building on a deal reached two years ago.
The Transportation Ministry clinched the long-term agreement with a unit of Abu Dhabi-based Terminals Holding to build a second runway, third passenger terminal and a cargo terminal, the ministry said on its website, without giving a time-frame for the planned investments.
