Pompey keeper Schmid gets Austria call-up
Portsmouth goalkeeper Nicholas Schmid has received his first international call-up for Austria ahead of their World Cup qualifying games. The 28-year-old has made 35 Championship appearances for Pompey since joining from Austrian side BW Linz in August 2024, keeping eight clean sheets. The side will face Romania on 7 June before heading to San Marino the following Tuesday. Right-back Terry Devlin has also been selected for international duty, linking up with Northern Ireland for their upcoming friendlies against Denmark and Iceland.

Pompey's 'magical' moment has survival within sight

Devlin 'can't wait to repay' Pompey faith
Terry Devlin wants to repay Portsmouth's faith in him after being handed a new deal at Fratton versatile 21-year-old midfielder was limited to four appearances off the Blues bench in their opening 11 Championship the Northern Ireland Under-21 international - who arrived from Glentoran in 2023 - has featured in 20 of Pompey's next 24 league games, starting nine of them at right back, and has been rewarded with a new three-year contract at Fratton told BBC Radio Solent: "I'm buzzing to sign a new deal. Devlin signs new deal with Portsmouth until 2028
