Tips help nab Novato woman who slammed into parked car: PD
(KRON) — A 58-year-old Novato woman is under arrest after police said she rammed into a parked Toyota pickup truck while under the influence then fled from the collision. Video shows Tesla CyberTruck smashed and slashed at private Novato home The Novato Police Department said it was alerted by a witness around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday about the hit-and-run incident near Redwood Boulevard at Cricklewood Drive. Novato PD said they later located the driver of a damaged black Honda SUV in the Novato Fair Shopping Center, thanks to another witness tip. Police said April Soldavini was taken into custody after a DUI investigation and booked into Marin County Jail. Soldavini faces driving under the influence and hit-and-run charges. 'We want to thank the community members who reported the collision and the damaged car in the shopping center,' said Novato police in a social media post. 'Their actions helped to protect our community, preventing further property damage and potential injury. Reporting unsafe drivers saves lives.' It is not clear how much estimated damage was caused by the crash. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

Oakland police officer punched by suspect at traffic stop light
(KRON) — The Oakland Police Department said a suspect was arrested after a 'completely unprovoked' assault of an officer. Video shows Tesla CyberTruck smashed and slashed at private Novato home The incident happened at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the area of International Boulevard and 104th Avenue. Oakland PD said two officers were traveling westbound — responding to an unrelated police call — when they stopped at a traffic light. While they were waiting for a green light, a suspect ran up to their marked patrol vehicle and started punching one officer through the open window, said police. Both officers were able to exit the vehicle and take the suspect into custody. The injured officer suffered swelling and lacerations during the incident. He was taken to a nearby hospital and released that same day, now recovering at home. 'Definitely a very concerning event for our members,' said Huy Nguyen, President of the Police Officers Association, in an interview with KRON4. 'It's completely unprovoked. This showed the level of dangers that not only our community members are facing every day, but our police officers.' Police have not identified the suspect. It is not yet known what charges the suspect faces. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

Tesla Cybertruck Sinks After Botched Jet Ski Launch (Video)
The Tesla Cybertruck, for many reasons, is a controversial car. Let's not get into the politics here, but from a straight-up aesthetic and functionality standpoint, the vehicle from Elon Musk's megalithic electric car corporation comes with armored bullet-proof windows, semi-autonomous driving capabilities, and a design that looks more like a stainless-steel brick, rather than a regular car. Spotting one on the road, despite the fact that they've been on the market for some time now, still warrants a double take. They are just that…unique. For better or worse. Anyway, someone owning a Cybertruck recently found themselves in a tricky situation in Ventura, California, when they allegedly attempted to offload a jet ski into the harbor, but ended up driving the car into the water as well. Check out the submerged Cybertruck below: So, what happened? According to the Ventura County Star, 'it was reportedly quickly rolling backward down a ramp that leads into the water in the 1400 block of Anchors Way…[the driver] apparently had meant to drive forward but accidentally put the truck in reverse, backing it into the water.' Luckily, a local towboat company was in the area, and able to get the vehicle out of the TowBoatUS Ventura: 'This morning, we responded to a Tesla Cyber Truck which submerged itself at the Ventura Launch Ramp. After developing a plan with agencies, our diver went into the water to make an attachment with the truck. A towboat also made an attachment to the truck to pull the truck away from the dock as the front wheels were stuck in a right turn and the truck had gone under the dock. Our friends at @redline_towing pulled the truck out of the water and into the parking lot, which had been blocked off for safety in the event the batteries had an adverse effect once they came out of the salt water. After being inspected by a Tesla engineer, the vehicle was ultimately towed away without incident.' One comment on the post read: 'Money doesn't buy brains.'

Mohamed Ramadan teases 'Ramadan Cannon' amid rivalry with 'Ramez Elon Egypt'
ALBAWABA - Mohamed Ramadan fuels rivalry with Ramez Galal ahead of Ramadan 2025. As he shocked his audience by promoting his new show "Ramadan Cannon" in an unconventional manner, Mohamed Ramadan continues to arouse controversy and tension. On his Instagram account, Ramadan shared a video of himself inside a Tesla CyberTruck, addressing American entrepreneur Elon Musk with the caption, "Elon, you made it, and I rode it in Egypt." His remarks were not ignored since some saw them as a subliminal message to Ramez Galal, whose show this year is called "Ramez Elon Egypt" and which airs right after breakfast alongside "Ramadan Cannon." As a sort of challenge and suspense, it appears that Mohamed Ramadan intends to increase the level of competitiveness before the programs' commencement. Throughout the month of Ramadan, Mohamed Ramadan's program promises to offer a unique experience by assuming the roles of thirty characters from various professions, such as a doctor, engineer, and tuk-tuk driver, in a fun and sociable setting. The most well-known behind-the-scenes photo from the beginning of filming "Ramadan Cannon" was a shot in which Ramadan ran after a "varnish" worker in the street and attempted to give him a monetary gift. The worker initially believed that the people pursuing him were municipal employees, so he attempted to flee, only to be taken aback by the Egyptian star sitting next to him on the ground and giving him the money while the audience interacted. Mohamed Ramadan asked his supporters to try to come up with the concept of "Ramadan Cannon" before he revealed the specifics of his program. He promised the winner a special surprise and even a trip to his house. In fact, Ramadan kept his word when he paid a visit to a young guy named "William Adel" at his Shubra house after he was successful in foreseeing the program's concept. While sharing a video of the prize presentation, Ramadan wrote: "His friends who are laughing today will see him with me while we are drinking tea in Shubra... so that you know that he was right."
