'A 12 Day War': Iran denies ceasefire claims made by US President Donald Trump
US President Donald Trump announced that there was a total ceasefire between Israel and Iran, something that Iran has denied. In a statement, Trump said: "Congratulations to everyone! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a complete and total ceasefire. Trump described the attacks as 'The 12 Day War.' During the ceasefire, the other side will remain peaceful and respectful. "On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both countries, Israel and Iran, on having the stamina and courage to end what should be called the 12-day war.

Iran and Israel have agreed to a ceasefire, Donald Trump has claimed
Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire, US President Donald Trump claimed on Monday evening. Trump made the announcement on Truth Social slightly after 11PM BST. He said: "Congratulations to everyone. It has been fully agreed that there will be a compelete and total ceasefire (in approximately 6 hours from now when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions), for 12 hours, at which point the war will be considered, ended. "Iran will start the ceasefire, and, upon the 12th hour, Israel will start the ceasefire, and upon the 24th hour, an official end to the 12 day war will be saluted by the world." The news came after Iranian missiles were intercepted en route to a US airbase in Qatar Monday afternoon, two days after the United States bombed three key Iranian nuclear facilities. Trump added: "During each ceasefire, the other side will remain peaceful and respectful. On the assumption everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both countries, Israel and Iran, on having the stamina, courage, and intelligence, to end, what should be called 'The 12 Day War'." Since Israel launched a 'preemptive' strike on Iranian military installations and leaders on June 13th, the two countries have traded missile fire, leading to the death of approximately 800 Iranians and 24 Israelis. As of 12:00 AM Tuesday morning, neither Iran nor Israel had publicly commented on a ceasefire. Meanwhile, Israel issued an evacuation order for the Mehran neighborhood of Tehran, informing residents the IDF would be carrying out operations there. And explosions were reported in several Iranian cities, according to the BBC. Sky News US correspondent Mark Stone told the network: "Trump clearly has spoken, we assume, to Benjamin Netanyahu, who has agreed, that within six hours, the Israelis will stop bombing Iran. "The Iranians, presumably, although we don't know, will do the same. "Donald Trump has a tendency of jumping the gun, sort of jumping people into falling in line with his position. "This may be one of those instances," Stone added. "But the tone of his message there certainly suggests that if both sides don't fall into line and effectively do what he is demanding, then all hell will break loose."

Trump announces complete ceasefire between Israel and Iran, ending 12-day war
WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Monday that Israel and Iran have agreed to a complete and total ceasefire, bringing an end to what he called 'The 12 Day War.' In a statement posted on his social media platform, Trump said the ceasefire would begin in approximately six hours, following the completion of final military operations by both sides. The truce will last for 12 hours, after which the conflict will be officially declared over. 'Iran will start the ceasefire, and upon the 12th hour, Israel will follow suit,' Trump said, adding that an 'official end' to the hostilities will be marked at the 24th hour. He praised both nations for showing 'stamina, courage, and intelligence' in choosing to end the conflict. The announcement follows days of escalating military exchanges between Israel and Iran that raised fears of a broader regional war. Trump hailed the ceasefire as a moment the world would salute, urging all parties to remain 'peaceful and respectful.' 'This is a war that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn't—and never will,' Trump stated.
