Johnny Vaughan's sun-drenched Moroccan holiday with rarely-seen partner and son
Radio presenter Johnny Vaughan has offered fans a glimpse into his recent holiday to sunny Marrakech with his partner Vanessa and their young son in a string of sweet snaps
Radio star Johnny Vaughan has given fans a rare glimpse into his family life after he jetted off to Morocco for a sun-drenched escape with his rarely-seen partner and young son.
The former Capital Breakfast host, 58, took to Instagram to share a string of heartwarming holiday snaps from the bustling city of Marrakech, as he enjoyed quality time with his loved ones and soaked up the exotic sights.
Johnny, who now fronts The 4til7 Thang on Radio X, isn't known for flaunting his personal life - but fans were delighted to see the usually private presenter sharing a handful of personal moments from the trip. He captioned the post: "Marrakech is just over 3 hours away. It's insane that so different to London is so near. If you want to feel like you've 'abroad', it offers unbeatable bang for your buck."
He also tagged British Airways, giving a nod to the airline that whisked them away from the UK drizzle.
The first photo shows Johnny with his partner and son on a traditional Moroccan street, all three grinning and dressed down for the sun.
It's a rare sighting of the trio together, with Johnny's family usually steering well clear of the limelight.
The presenter has been in a relationship with his partner Vanessa Howard since 2017, and the couple welcoming their first child - Milton - in 2020.
The radio DJ also has two adult children Tabitha and Rafferty with his ex-wife Antonia Davies.
He split from his previous wife in 2013 after 30 years together and 14 years of marriage.
Four years later, he was introduced to Vanessa through mutual friends and was quick to whisk her away on a lavish holiday to Marbella in Spain.
Despite the 17-year age gap, the couple have become stronger than ever and have enjoyed multiple trips abroad, including a jaunt to Costa Rice in 2019 and a successful skiing trip.
Another snap from their recent holiday shows the vibrant streets of Marrakech, with a third featuring his young son pictured beside an orange tree.
The couple were also seen looking loved-up in another snap.
The post quickly racked up likes and comments from fans thrilled to see the softer side of the TV and radio favourite. "Wow! That lad has shot up. Lovely photo," one wrote.
Johnny shot to fame in the 1990s as the cheeky, quick-witted host of Channel 4 's The Big Breakfast, and later moved into radio, where he's built a loyal fanbase with his offbeat humour and relatable charm.
