Art Institute of Chicago president accused of stripping off during United Airlines flight
The president of the Art Institute of Chicago has taken voluntary leave following reports of an incident during which he stripped off his clothes while on an international flight. James Rondeau, the Art Institute's president and director since 2016, was accused of strange behavior on a United Airlines aircraft on April 18. Rondeau had been on the way to Munich, Germany. According to CBS News, which first reported the incident, he had been drinking alcohol after taking prescription medication. He was arrested after the plane landed. In a statement shared with The Independent, a spokesperson said: 'The Art Institute takes this very seriously and has opened an independent investigation into the incident to gather all available information. 'James will voluntarily be taking time away from the office while the investigation is completed.' Art Institute officials said Rondeau has since returned to Chicago, and the leadership team will soon meet to 'determine the next steps." As president of the Art Institute, Rondeau's salary is more than $1 million a year. The institute employs around 600 people and plays host to such world-renowned works as Edward Hopper's 'Nighthawks' and 'The Bedroom' by Vincent Van Gogh. Founded in 1879, the institute has an operating budget of $120 million. Since his appointment in 2016, Rondeau has been a proponent of bringing more works by female artists and artists of color into the collection. 'This variety and balance is core to our mission. We are able to leverage more established names while introducing new work and providing a more expansive view about contemporary art,' he told The New York Times in 2022. The alleged incident occurred on United Airlines Flight 953 from Chicago to Munich on April 18. Police were called to the plane following reports of a passenger stripping off his clothes. Sources confirmed to CBS that the passenger in question was Rondeau. A spokesperson for United Airlines told The Independent they had no further comment. Founded in 1879, the Art Institute is one of the most prestigious museums in the U.S. It has an operating budget of $120 million and a full-time staff of about 600.

Married At First Sight's Jamie Marinos and Eliot Donovan get VERY cosy on the Gold Coast amid romance rumours
Married At First Sight stars Eliot Donovan and Jamie Marinos are continuing to fuel romance rumours after they were spotted getting very cosy in Queensland. The reality TV veterans were seen putting on a loved-up display over the weekend on the Gold Coast at The Bedroom, a nightclub in Surfers Paradise, and a world-famous theme park. In footage shared to social media, the pair were seen engaged in a lively conversation at the club as they joined their hands together to make a love heart symbol. They later posted a hilarious skit to TikTok poking fun at the ongoing romance speculation. In the clip, they are seen sitting together on a couch as Jamie scrolls through her phone and says: 'There are pictures of us together in Queensland. What the hell?' 'How would [the media] even know?' a confused Eliot responded. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Chattr (@chattr) They then staged a cheeky scene where their dog used its paw to dial a tip-off line. The amusing footage showed the pair are happily leaning into the romance rumours. In the weeks since they shared a bed together in Sydney after Daily Mail Australia's Reunion party, the pair have continued to fan the flames of romance rumours. Neither has publicly confirmed a relationship, leaving some question as to whether their outings together are to gain social media attention, at least in the mind of Jamie's ex TV husband Dave Hand. 'What are your thoughts on Jamie and Eliot getting together?' one fan asked Dave in an Instagram Q&A session. 'Honestly, I don't have any thoughts on it. I couldn't give a... I don't care,' he said, 'But I highly doubt she's going to sleep with three cast members from this year's season,' he scoffed. 'I think it's just a TikTok, Instagram thing - whatever they're doing,' Dave continued. 'But good luck to them, honestly. Best wishes.' The pair later posted a hilarious skit to TikTok poking fun at the romance speculation Jamie and Eliot responded by posting a short clip from their very public date at Warner Bros. Movie World on Friday, replying to a fan who commented: 'Dave did in fact care.' In the video, Eliot laughed and said, 'We're in this together,' while he wrapped an arm around Jamie's shoulders as they prepared to go on a roller coaster ride. The date had Jamie literally jumping for joy as she spent the day with her new partner in life and/or social media. Jamie and Eliot certainly looked every inch the loved-up couple as they packed on the PDA for all to see at the theme park. Eliot spent most of the day with an arm around Jamie's shoulders, holding her hand, or gently touching her back. Since MAFS ended, Jamie and Eliot have developed a blossoming friendship, which appeared to come to a head at at the Ovolo Hotel in Woolloomooloo last month. In exclusive footage of Daily Mail's Reunion Party, Jamie said viewers were worried about what happened between her groom Dave and Veronica, but joked they should have been worried about her and Eliot instead.

Springfield Museums ‘Van Gogh For All' allows visitors to step into famous paintings
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Local students on spring break got to experience a unique and interactive Vincent Van Gogh art exhibit at the Springfield Museums. This exhibit was a one-of-a-kind experience for many. It featured several life-size three-dimensional versions of Van Gogh's 19th-century paintings. Many were able to step into the paintings and become part of his artwork. They were seen posing for photos in one of the artist's famous landscape paintings, or standing in a recreated version of his art piece 'The Bedroom'. The exhibit also offered a space for kids to get creative and make their own art. Stations were set up for drawing a still life or a portrait. 'We want, you know, science and technology, all of those things to be pushed and to have kids interact with art and learn more about that,' said Abby Garner, Family Engagement Coordinator for the Springfield Museums. 'But it's good to also keep in mind, all of those things play a role in developing literacy skills or even just developing individual children's interests.' Other interactive elements in the exhibit included a 12-foot-wide electronic version of the iconic Starry Night. Many also got to watch a planetarium show of this painting. They got to discover the planets and stars that lit up the sky in late 19th-century France and the Netherlands when Van Gogh painted them in striking blues and yellows. If you can't make it to the exhibit now, it runs until September 14. It is free with museum admission.
